A week later, when Lily was six years old, the blonde witch was keeping an eye on her while Maleficent was away. The young one was much too close to the oven, and had just eaten something sweet Mallory'd made for her. The mother had tried resisting her. She loved this child to bits and pieces, and she knew the dragon did as well, but the closer she got, the more Mallory wanted to bake her into a pie.
-
When she could no longer resist, she swung the oven door open, shoving Lily inside, closing and locking her in. The child's screams and pleads could be heard, but they were after the witch had put a spell on her, gazing into the oven with hunger and sorrow. "I'm sorry, little one..."
-
An hour later, her daughters bones were strewn across the floor, a delicious slice of blueberry pie on a single plate, which was in Mallory's hands. Maleficent had arrived home, screaming at the sight in front of her. "Mallory! Mallory, how could you?! Our only child!" "Maleficent, I'm sorry! I couldn't resist! She just looked and smelled so delicious, so appetizing!"
-
The dragon had rushed to their chambers, so furious and heartbroken, that when she'd walked back into the kitchen, she'd cursed her beloved to a world of darkness for eternity. "Out with you... Out with you, you traitor!" Maleficent threw her out of their home, leaving the younger blonde to fend for herself, helpless, without anyone by her side.
-
This is how their story of true, unconditional love ended, and their story of hatred, deceitfulness, and turmoil, had begun.
