"NOW that I've finally known you better, I'm starting to doubt whether I really loved you or it was just a... mistake." She might have lost all her senses to hold back harsh words as excruciating pain engulfed her.

Right before her eyes, a strong hand swiftly inflicted pain upon her face. It was from the girl she never intended to hurt. The girl she had loved so much, who appeared to be as equally wounded as herself.

Tonight, everything seemed to be slowly crumbling down.

"Siguro nga tama ka, Heather. Isa ngang pagkakamali ang lahat." Pagsang-ayon nito habang humihikbi.

Hearing her full name from Ayen only signified the magnitude of pain she had wrought. The way Ayen articulated each word was saturated with profound emotions, colder than the night air.

She gazed with all her might while Ayen kept her eyes lower, sobbing quietly. Seeing a girl cry, particularly Ayen, was something she couldn't endure.

It was the first instance where she atrociously damaged her, and it truly broke her heart. How she desired to hurt herself even more as she recalled her vow to never let the girl of her dreams cry.

What was she doing?

She had already proven how unique Ayen was from the other girls, yet she persistently undervalued her.

The moment she realized the intensity of their argument, she attempted to console her girlfriend. But Ayen was fast to motion her hand for her to stop. She complied.

"It's over," were the last words she heard from Ayen before she completely vanished from her view, losing not just her, but also forfeiting the envisioned future with her.

Now, she must come to terms with the undeniable truth— she failed.
