The hole night had been such a rush. Looking at each other, trying not to look at each other. Feeling each others breath. The slight touch of a hand while taking a picture, her fingers casually grabbing her waist while moving along the crowd. Once it started it was always the same, always the same feeling all over again. And the laugh, that laugh that reminded her why she had fallen for C in the first place. Everything, all over, again. Then, at the club it got even harder to hide, harder to resist. The past months, while trying to keep apart, things had been so tough, and now, it all felt so natural, so easy, like they were meant to be. So when C said she was leaving she felt like she had to do something, she wanted so bad to stop her but she couldn't, everyone was looking, as they always did. She stayed, and she tried to think about something else. She drank more, and smoked more, but the only thing she could think about was C, and she could feel her own heart going crazy inside.

It was almost five when she got back to the hotel. She went to her room and sat at the edge of the bed, thinking. She felt it all over again. She felt the thrill of being with her, laughing, looking at each other like the rest of the world wasn't there. It had taken her four years to get there, but that dawn it was all clear.

She knocked on C door. Once was enough. She was waiting for her. She got inside the room and closed the door behind her. They both stay there, looking at each other, speaking only with their eyes, the way they had always did. So many memories crossed her mind. She remembered how long it took her to understand that spellbound, to understand that the happiness C caused on her was actually love. She also remembered that first kiss, the rush she felt and how she wanted to scream, to tell everyone about it. And she remembered the tears, and the many times they had both cried, and how it was always over when it hadn't actually started.

Finally she spoke. —I can't do this anymore without you— L said. —I won't do this anymore if we don't do it together—. And for a moment the hole world stopped. Her heart stopped too, a leap of faith, the cliff edge. It was all or nothing now. C smiled and walked closer to her, grabbed her hand and interlaced her fingers with hers. —I know— C said. —None of this makes sense if we are not together—. It didn't, they couldn't kept on going without being together cause nobody else would ever understand the way they felt, cause nobody had lived what they had lived together, cause the universe put them there, that day, for a reason. They both knew this, they both smiled and they kissed. It was a tender kiss, the kind of kiss from someone who has waited long enough and knows about patience. It was only 6:00 am, they had all the time in the world.
