Cold Cuddles: I'll Always Keep You Warm

Yuu and Mika, having finished shopping, return home and put the gifts they bought and the wrapping paper on the table in front of the couch. They both plop down on the couch and Yuu reaches for the wrapping paper when Mika rests his head on his shoulder.

"O-Oi what are you doing!" Yuu shouts.

"We can wrap them later Yuu-chan. I'm tired" Mika replies

"Ugh w-whatever," Yuu says, blushing. 

They sit together in comfortable silence for a few minutes when Mika feels Yuu shivering.

"Are you cold Yuu-chan?"

"N-Not really."

Mika moves so that he is sitting directly behind Yuu, with Yuu sitting between his legs. He wraps his arms around Yuu and rests his chin on his shoulder. Yuu writhes around, flustered by the intimacy of the position.

"M-Mika get off! I-I'm not cold!"

"Your body temperature says otherwise Yuu-chan. I'm just trying to warm you up and it seems it's already working; your face is warm~"

"S-Shut up! I didn't ask for your help."

"You didn't have to Yuu-chan. I want to keep you warm" 

Mika nuzzles his neck and then reaches for the blanket next to Yuu. He spreads it over them and then hugs Yuu tight. Yuu relaxes in Mika's warm embrace and sighs contentedly, closing his eyes.

"Thanks Mika. This actually feels really nice. Maybe.... we could do this more often?"

"We can cuddle like this any time you want Yuu-chan. I'll always keep Yuu-chan warm." Mika declares, closing his eyes.

"Mika,"

"Mhm?"

"I love you Mika. Merry Christmas."

"I love you too Yuu-chan. Merry Christmas. Oh, and Yuu-chan?"

"Hm?"

"Hearing you say that.... made me really happy just now."

"M-Me too.. It felt really good to say it.. and.. knowing it made you really happy also makes me happy!"

Mika gently grips Yuu's chin, turning his head so that they're facing each other. They gaze into each other's eyes for a moment before they both begin to lean in. Their lips meet in sweet, gentle kiss. After a few seconds, they part and settle into a comfortable silence, savouring every second spent in each other's presence.
