Looking

“Hello?” I called as I opened the door.

“Abs.” My parents came in giving me hugs and to my surprise Zayn too.

It was seven in the morning; I’ve already put down three coffees.

“Okay, so how’s aunt doing?” I said talking the bag from Zayn, placing it at the bottom of the stair.

“We’re just waiting.”

“Okay.” I was thinking. “Dad, here.” I handed him a list. “This is everyone on her Facebook, go to every house and ask. Mother you go be with your sister. And Zayn and I check the town and town over.”

“But what if she shows up here?” My mother asked.

“I got that cover.” I had texted a guy I haven’t seen since his sister, my best friend passed away.

“Hi, Keith,” My heart was pounding as I could see so much of his sister in him.

“Hi, Ab.” He smiled at me. Him and his sister had the same smile.

I tossed my arms around him, hugging him. “Thank you.” I whispered.

Stepping back I loops my fingers with Zayn.

“This is Zayn.”

“Zayn this is Keith.”

“Hi.”

“Hi.” They shook hands.

My mother gave him a hug and my father shook his hand too.

“So you guys know what to do, keep each others updated.” I said.

Taking my mothers keys we took her car. While I was driving to town Zayn was digging in his bag. He tossed on a beanie and sunglasses. Just so it would be harder for people to notice him.

There was no real mall here. Just a shopping center that had a few shops hooked together. We looked into each one and pet shops, the two groceries, library; and every other place in town.

 “On one in town has seen her. I asked about everyone.” I texted my parents and Keith.

We stopped and got some food to go.

“Abs?” Zayn asked.

“Yes?”

“I’m sorry what I said back there.” I knew he meet when he called me his girlfriend. I had no problem. I’ve been waiting for him to ask but he never did.

“Zayn, I would love to talk about this but I want my mind to be fully on you.”

“I understand.” His British voice sounded like he really mean is.
