Forbidden Love

Chapter 1 - Introduction

My name is Rachel Waters, I'm 17 and starting a new high school. My family used to include My Mom, Dad, Sister and me. We were involved in a car wreck when I was 13 and my sister was 15. My sister was their 'baby girl' always and she died during the wreck. Ever since my Dad's been a horrible alcoholic and beats me and does horrible things and my mom drinks and pops pills 24/7 so she's not even worried about stopping my Dad cuz she's asleep half the time. I'm switching schools due to the fact that my old school was catching on to my Dad abusing me and he could tell and he moved us and made me transfer schools. Anyway let me tell you a little about my looks. I'm tall, pretty skinny I guess and have long super dark brown almost black hair. I have Crystal blue eyes and a nose and lip piercing. I also have a tattoo on the inside of my forearm that's a guitar wrapped in roses and thorns that reads "Music Forever". I guess you could call me the Rocker/Emo type. I'm not sure, I guess I don't really fit in anywhere. Anyway I've been at this new school a week now and that's when it all started...............

I woke up as the clock struck 7:30. I sat up and heard the sound of my bus passing. If I walk I'm going to be super late and get detention and Dad will be pissed and if I wake my dad up I know he's going to be pissed so either way it's a losing situation. I figured I wouldn't have time to walk so I'll just have to risk waking him. I didn't have time to dress up so I grabbed a pair of grey jeans, a white baby tee and a purple hoodie. I left my hair straight and just brushed it through after brushing my teeth. I applied a little make up, grabbed my book bag and headed down stairs. Dad was passed out on the couch as usual "Dad" I said and he sat up rubbing his eyes. He stunk like beer "What?" He asked and I could tell by the tone in his voice this wasn't going to go well "I missed the bus" I said nervously and hanging my head down.

He stood up and I knew something had was going to happen, he punched me right on the eye and then placed his hand around my throat "You miss that bus again and a lot worse than this is going to happen to you" he said releasing my throat. I coughed a little "You understand?" He said "Yes" I said and nodded. He grabbed the van keys and we headed out the door. He didn't say anything on the way to school but when we got there and I got out he stopped me "You remember what I said" he said sternly "Yes" I nodded and he let go of my arm. I walked into the school, what a great start to the day.
