A/N: Hey guys so this is my new supernatural book!!! It isn't going to follow a specific season but will work with some episodes. You may recognize this from the one shot book I have as it was a chapter I did. I had a part 2 planned but I loved the story line so much that I decided to make it into a book. Hope you enjoy it!!!
The day started like any other day. Jacy Forester had woken up and cleaned the house a bit, made sure her mother was okay and fed, then headed out to town. Lakewood was a fairly small town, only a few residents so everybody knew each other and they were all friendly. She had lived there all her life-well she had lived there most of her life. When Jacy was about two, she was abandoned on her parent's doorstep, no note or any clue of where she came from, just the blanket and basket she was in.
David and Lucinda Forester had been trying for a child for many years but they had no luck. They had given up, accepting that they would never be parents until one day they opened the door and saw a small bundle on their doormat. She were a pure miracle to them and she only got better the more she grew. It was a happy and normal childhood as far as Jacy could remember and it stayed that way until a couple of years before. Jacy had moved out as soon as she could after college, starting her own life and she loved it but sadly, tragedy struck. During a visit to her parent's house, her father and herself had been out on a short trip. She were driving and everything was fine till a deer jumped out on the road. Jacy swerved to avoid it but lost control of the car and crashed. She survived with only a few injuries but her father......died on impact.
Her mother was incredibly overcome with grief, his death affecting her greatly. She became bed ridden and spent all day sleeping. She refused to move or eat. Jacy moved back home to care for her. All of it was her fault anyway, she blamed herself everyday and she could see in her mothers eyes that she blamed her too. Jacy cared for her because she loved her, even when the woman she knew slowly began to disappear.
So, just like every week, Jacy ventured into the main part of town where the stores were and headed into the mini-market for groceries. It was a common routine and she mostly got the same things every week so it didn't take her long to get to the cash register. Finally after a short wait, she dumped her basket on the side and started to unload all the items to be scanned.
"Hey Miss Forester." The young cashier-Jeremy-said. He was fresh out of high school, spotty and hormonal. She noticed his attempts to flirt quite often but always shot him down in the friendliest way possible.
Jacy looked up and gave him a small smile. "Hello Jeremy."
"So, doing anything interesting today?" He asked, raising a bushy eyebrow as he began to scan her shopping.
She shrugged, running her fingers through her long auburn hair. "I don't know. Probably not, I've got to get home to my mom."
"Well if you do, be careful." Jeremy warned and she furrowed her eyebrows. Jacy could certainly look after herself but in a town like this, there was no need. No one even locked their doors at night.
"Why?"
"Haven't you heard?" He asked, pausing his movements and looking up at her.
She shook your head and started to pack the shopping into bags. "About what?"
"The murders." He stated and she felt her jaw drop. She had only ever heard of things like that on the news or in newspapers, it never happened to anyone she knew or close to her; the joys of living in little old Lakewood.
"What?"
"Yeah. Two guys were killed a few days ago, had their throats ripped out. There are even FBI agents here." Jeremy told her excitedly but she felt sick to her stomach.
