CHAPTER 14
"YOUR COOKING SKILLS NEED IMPROVING"*Dylan*
I woke up in another room that was draped with creme curtains. All the events from last night rushed back from last night. A sigh fell from my lips as I remember the hug. The warm gentle hug. I shot up from my position on the burgundy bed as my eyes grew wide. What am I thinking!? I pulled my hair in frustration as I thought about how she might think I like her. But you do. Shut up.
I put one of my legs out from the soft duvet and placed it on the hardwood tile and hised the cold contact. 1...2...3... I jumped out the bed and ran to the door trying to not let my feet touch the cold tile. As I made it out the door I heard soft snores coming from the room a couple doors down from were I was. I slowly tip-toed down the hallway. Hopefully it was who I thought it was. I opened the door a slightly and peeked inside to see Sylvia curled up under her comforter as soft snores drifted in and out of her mouth. I thought it was cute. I smiled to myself and shut the door and walked down the stareway.
I wondered around her house, oops I'm sorry, mansion. It was quite similar to mine. The same rooms put were hers ate placed but slightly bigger. I walked into the kitchen giving myself a pat on the back for knowing were it was. You just said her house was similar to yours. Shut-up. I go over to the many cabinets and rummage through each one trying to look for a pan. I finally come across a large cabinit to the right of the stove. I opened it up and pulled out a pan and placed it on the stove and while doing that turned the stove on. I went to the large fridge and took out a cartoon of eggs along with a stick of butter and some frozen bacon from the freezer. I went back over to the pan and smeared some butter on it. Stay with me her I'm not good at cooking or baking. What a shame. Stupid head. I cracked the first egg.....

One half of a cartoon of eggs ruined and most of the bacon burned Sylvia finally came down stares to see me putting two plates of eggs and bacon on the dining room table along with one glass of orange juice and one glass of water. I waved at her and she gave me a wave back and a weird look, "What's this for?" I scratch the back of my neck. "Well you know you had me stay over when I got stranded at the top of your street and I uh...... here's my thank you."
She sat in the middle of the seven chairs and took a piece of the bacon and bit into it. I can see her to struggle to chew it and we she finally swallows I'm sat across from her and biting into one of the eggs. She speaks and I look up "Your cooking skills need improving, like seriously." I give her a sheepish grin. She stands up and pushes her chair in and looks back at me while I attempt to swallow a piece of bacon. She's right my cooking skills need improved, but it's not like I didn't know that. I stand up after I manage to swallow and look to see Sylvia leaving. "Sylvia!" I yell for her and she turns around, "How about that date that you insisted be today, like now?" I ask and she fully turns around. "Like a lunch date?" She asks. I nod and she gives me a smile showing her pearly whites and I notice how one of her top teeth slightly, not to much covers her other. Dude you're such a creep. She walks out and I'm about to ask about the dishes the litter the table and she walks back in. "Don't worry one of the maiden will get it." I nod and begin to walk out before she asks, "Um... what will you wear?" I look down at what I'm wearing and swear. What will I wear? Then I remembered that I had a pair of jeans and a flannel in my truck. "I have some clothes in my truck." She gives me another weird look. What's with all the weird looks? "I thought your truck was stranded at the top of my street." Oh did I forget to tell her I called a toy truck. I chuckle, "I called a tow truck this morning and the brought it to your house and changed the tire." Her cheeks turn a light shade of red and lets out a laugh. "Well I'm going to go change." Then she's out of my sight. I walk to the front door and run into my car ignoring the warm temp. And as I get the clothes out from my truck I realize Sylvia isn't what she seem to be, and I will find out what. As I get back through the front door my thoughts drift to last night. How vulnerable she looked when she saw I spilled water on the pillow. I saw her eyes water as she looked in the room I was first in. I look up from my thoughts and see I'm at the top of the stairs. I enter the guest room and start to get dressed. Sylvia had a mask on and I was going to be the person who finally took it off.
