Chapter 6 : The Date (Part 1)

*Laura's POV*

"I'm gonna pick up the pieces, and build a lego house

And if things go wrong, we can knock it down"

I was currently in my house, in my bedroom, listening and singing along to 'Lego House' by Ed Sheeran when I heard the doorbell ring. I went downstairs and opened the door to reveal an excited Zayn.

"Hi Zayn, wh-" I said before Zayn cut me off.

"You still didn't start getting ready? You do remember that you have a date with Liam at 4, right?" He asked me.

"Yeah, of course I remember. But, isn't there, like, a lot of time left for me to start getting ready?" I asked unsure of the time. I came home an hour after Liam left the lads' house. I was going to clean my room and then start getting ready, but, instead of cleaning up, I ended up singing along and dancing to songs.

"Umm... there's like 40 minutes left until Liam comes to pick you up." He stated.

"WHAT? THERE'S ONLY 40 MINUTES LEFT?!" I went into panic mode.

"Chill Laur, I'll help you get ready."

"Oh My God, Thank you so much Zayn."

I led Zayn up to my room and gestured for him to sit down on the bed. I opened my wardrobe and started rummaging through it.

"What to wear? What to wear?" I kept on chanting.

"Laur" Zayn called but I ignored him and kept chanting 'what to wear' repeatedly, and started throwing clothes here and there in a panic state.

"LAURA! Stop panicking and look at me." He ordered and I obeyed.

"Now, take a deep breath." Again I did what he told me to do.

"Did Liam tell what kind of clothes to wear? Like casual or fancy?" He asked me and I shook my head.

"Okay. Wait a minute, I'll call Liam and ask him." He said taking out his phone and went outside my room. He came back inside after two minutes.

"So, did he say whether to dress casual or fancy?" I asked him.

"Yeah. Casual."

"Okay, did he tell you where we're going?" I asked.

"Yes. But, I am not going to tell you as he asked me to keep it a secret from you."

"Please?" I said giving him my best puppy-dog eyes.

"No, no, no, those do not work on me darling. Now, you sit on the bed and let me find something." I sat down on the bed and sighed. I trusted Zayn as out of the five, he was the most fashionable one. So, if anyone could help me, it's him. Also, since he knew where Liam was going to take me, I trusted that he would find something appropriate for the place.

"I think you should wear purple as it's Liam favourite colour." He said while searching through my wardrobe. I nodded in response.

 "Here, try this." He said holding a cute purple sleeveless sparkly top and black skinny jeans.

"Ok." I replied and went into the bathroom and got changed. Luckily, I didn't need to take a shower as I took one some time ago. I looked at my reflection in the mirror. I actually, do look pretty if I say so myself.

"It's perfect Zayn. Thank you sooooo much!" I grinned when I came out.

"You're welcome. Now let's find matching shoes." He said.
