I sat crosslegged on the floor of Will's room flipping through some pictures on my camera.
"You took these?" Will asked sitting next to me.
I nodded. They were mostly landscapes of the beach or the park or a bumble bee or something.
"These are really good," he said.
"Thanks for taking me to get them," I replied.
"Anytime," he said.
"Since you get to look at my pictures, I get to look at your drawings, right?" I asked.
"They're not very good," he argued.
"I want to see them," I said.
He sighed and opened a drawer in his nightstand. Inside was a sketchbook that he handed to me. I smiled at him and opened the notebook. The first few were just direct observations of coffee mugs, staplers, etc. Then the sketches turned to more elaborate things, landscapes mostly. I came to the last page that he had drawn on. It was a drawing of me, with angel wings. I looked up at him.
"This is really good," I said.
He smiled at me. "I'm glad you like it."
We both leaned in and then we were kissing. He pulled me closer as I wrapped my hands around his neck. His hands gripped my hips as mine ran through his hair. That's when my stomach made a very audible, very embarrassing growling noise.
Will grinned. "Are you hungry?"
I nodded. "What time is it?"
"It's almost 8 o'clock and I'm starving," he said pulling me to my feet.
"Isn't the cafeteria closed?" I asked.
He nodded. "Come on."
We stepped quietly out of his room and went down to floor 2. Instead of going through the big cafeteria doors, Will led me down the hall to a smaller door that read Staff Only.
He peeked his head inside before swinging the door open for me. I closed the door as he flicked on the light. We were in a huge kitchen complete with four ovens, two fridges, two sinks, a huge pantry, and a whole freezer room. He began rummaging through the fridge so I started going through the pantry. I grabbed chips, pop tarts, and little Debbie cakes. I turned to find him with his arms full of a six-packs of coke, Helluva dip, and pasta salad. We turned to leave when we heard the doorknob turn. Will grabbed my arm and we hid in the pantry. I cracked the door to see who it was. A brown headed guy walked in that I didn't recognize."Who's that?" I whispered.
"That's Jerry. He won't tell anyone we were in here," he whispered back opening the door more and stepping out.
I followed him as Jerry turned to us.
His eyes went to our arms full of food. "What are you two doing in here?"
Will was already making his way to the door. "We would love to stay and talk, but we should probably go."
"You can't just sneak in here and steal food," Jerry said.
