"All right it's time to close up shop!", my boss yelled as she turned the open/closed sign to 'Close'.

I was in the restroom making sure my bangs fell perfectly over my left eye to hide it. I'm already a freak, I don't need to rub it in people's faces.

"Alright," I called from the bathroom, even though I knew she was already gone, she doesn't want to stay any longer than she has to. She believed it was unruly and she didn't get paid enough to do so.

I straighten up some shoe boxes then processed to turn off the lights. I did the usual and left out back. It was faster to go home that way.

I threw my leftover scraps to an or my ally cat I should say and petted it with the tenderness I couldn't provide at home. I wish my mom wasn't allergic because this little kitty would be mine. When I first applied for this job, I saw him, this malnourished cat who was moaning in pain. And when I looked into his mismatched eyes, I saw me. I saw my mismatched eyes.

With that, I just knew I had to love him.

I was so happy when he accepted my love, but today is just surprising. I wonder what was bothering him.

He started running to under a nearby dumpster, then I saw it. I saw a stunning diamond necklace with a gorgeous cracked pendant. It was too amazing to be true. I stare at it fondly, and then the wind blew strongly. It blew so strongly that my bangs flew back. I look at the pendant again and heard a voice.

"Stop it!" ,  I heard a woman's voice say. It sounded uncomfortable.

"Come on, baby..." ,   I heard a male voice say. Sound like a real sleaze - ball.

I threw back the necklace and fell on my ass. What the hell was that? Am I going crazy? I picked up the necklace again.I stared at it again but with just my left eye. Through the glass, images started to reflect through the cracks.

Within my left eye, different colors exploded and made me dizzy. I'm starting to see visions.

Am I dying?

There's a woman- what a real beauty, but what is she doing over here? Oh yea, I forgot there was a strip club next to the shoe store. A place where I, who have no balance or beauty, could never work.

Wow, there's that mysterious but stunning diamond necklace again, it must have belonged to her.

It seems like she being dragged, dragged by a man. Wow, he's kind of handsome, like one of those models from those vogue magazines. Even still, why he dragging a stripper out?

It looks like she's struggling, why is he being so forceful? Oh, it looks like he's stopping. Oh he's stopping great, now she can ru-. Wait why is he picking up a boulder?

Bam!

Oh crap, he just hit her! Her necklace fell off, right around the place I found it. The tip of the dumpster is dripping blood. I think she just hit her head on it. Is she okay?

He has two fingers to her neck, checking his watch, checking her pulse. I don't think she has one.

The man is now picking up her too-still body,  and now he is carrying her to the woods nearby.

She must didn't have a pulse....

I woke up out of breath, grabbing my chest. I'm still by the store in my work clothes, I must have passed out here. I clutched the necklace, the necklace I saw in my "dream" and then stuffed it in my slacks pocket. I got up, dust myself off, and grabbed my bag. I looked back to the dumpster and saw what looked to be dried up blood.

It didn't feel like a dream, and I was certain it wasn't.
