Kat tapped her holoclock and climbed out of bed slowly. She grabbed her scrunchy from the bedside hovertable and put her hair in its natural messy ponytail. Her family was the only rich family that wasn't a mob. The Osbournes made a living in technological advances that the government, and mobs, paid handsomely for. She, herself, had inherited her father's nack for tinkering and had made a few of her own inventions. One being her pet fox, Flare. She wouldn't disclose the plans for her pet to anyone for fear of it becoming a weapon. She hated the mobs, which is why she became a hero. The hero Pheonix. Kat could manipulate fire and she made herself a backpack with wings, that she could set ablaze, which allowed her to fly. Flare jumped into her bed and his eyes glowed red, which meant that there was an important mission she needed to see to. Kat tapped Flare's head and a small holomap with coordinates to the main harbor appeared from his forehead. Kat got up and pressed a button making the glass from her wall dissappear opening to her balcony. She went to her closet and put on a red t-shirt and a black skirt. Then she went to her bed and pulled on her knee high leather boots, and grabbed her mask from her backpack. She then pulled on her backpack and ran for the balcony. She put her mask on and jumped off the ledge. She pressed a button on one of the straps and two wings extended from her pack. She summoned two fireballs, one in each hand, and lit her wings on fire. Kat forced herself up and flew towards the direction of the harbor.

Dom boarded the magnetrain, a train that could travel at high speeds using reverse magnetism. He had on his leather jacket and his ragged booksack. He held onto a pole as the train started moving forwards. It reached high speed in record time. The magnetrain went from the G.H. to the main city, and Dom watched the high buildings pass by and wondered what it was like to live in them. Probably real nice to look down on everyone, he thought. Dom scoffed and looked down at his worn shoes. He looked around at all the people that were on the train. Some were from the rich part of town, they had on either suits or designer wear and other rich items. The rest were like him, wearing ragged clothes and unorthodox jewelry. Dom shook his head and stared back out the window, and as he looked up he saw a light streak across the sky. It looked like a hero, but Dom didn't really care. The train stopped at central station, and Dom got off. He walked with the other teens that were going to school. He walked somewhat alone, and looked up. At the front of the pack was Kathrine, she had her nose in the air and her ponytail bounced up and down with her walk. She never spoke unless spoken to and was uptight except for the fact she wore black leather. Dom looked at his feet and kept walking. The "prison" loomed ahead with its high fences and concrete walls, it may as well have been. He sighed and wondered if he should skip today or not, he decided against it and went inside. Kat went to the library to stay out of the crowd and Dom followed her. He didn't like her, but he liked the quiet the library offered. Dom put his headphones in and played his playlist, which was full of rock, as he stared at Kat, who also had on headphones, but her nose was in a book. He didn't care for the book or what was on the cover, so he got up and went to class. He looked around at the familiar faces and names passed through his mind. Jordan Vores, the rich ass of a jock that thought he was better than everyone. Haley Reeds, one of Dom's neighbors from th G.H., she was pretty but ragged from having to care for her little brother. And others Dom didn't really care about. He took his usual place in the front corner closest to the door and waited for the teacher. Kat walked in and sat next to Dom, he didn't look at her, nor did she look at anyone. The teach walked in, he was from the upper housing and was wearing a slick suit and walked with purpose. "Hey poor boy" Dom heard from behind him. Of course it was Jordan, he was always picking on Dom. Jordan walked up and grabbed Dom by his head, lifting him up and making Dom face his ugly mug. "I'm talking to you poor boy ya gonna answer me or not?" Dom looked down and stayed silent. Normally he would sit back down and wait for the teach to make Jordan go sit down, but Dom felt something boil inside him. He clenched his fist and waited for what would happen next.
