Her Life Story

Uh… hi there. M-my name is Breezesong, I'm the medicine cat of Driftclan, and… I've had a rough story. I've lost almost everyone. My mind has been deteriorating  for the past few moons, and.. I'm scared. So I need to trust someone to tell me my life when it gets so bad, that I can't remember or do anything further. C.. can I trust you with that?

Two small kits mewled loudly from their makeshift nest, confused, and lost…
Their mother hadn't returned for a few hours.
“Willow! Willow!” A small she-kit cried to the other, “W-where are you?”
“I'm here, Breeze.” another small voice piped up, obviously the stronger of the two.
Rustling could be heard a little bit away, both of the tiny she kits freezing. Voices rang out, one loud and masculine, the other soft, and feminine.
“Briarsong? Do you hear that?” The masculine voice called out, a strange, mingled scent flooding over them.
“Yeah.. kits?” The other responded, before a tabby stumbled across the two. “Oh.. oh no.” She whispered. The scent of the two kit’s mother was all over her. “Crowwing, come over here.” She murmured, while the two kits looked at her in fear.
A large, dark coloured pelt padded into view, taking a long look at the two, before sighing.
“Do you know where my Mommy is?” Breeze asked, shaking in fear. Willow stood in front of her protectively.
“Your mother is-” the tom started to say after a while, choking. “She.. she was attacked by a fox. She's.. dead.” He murmured, looking over the two’s shocked expression.
Briarsong quickly padded over, wrapping her tail around the two kits as they cried. She looked up at Crowwing, sighing. “Should.. should we take them in? Driftclan always needs more members..” she murmured, looking down at the two. “What are your names?”
The two kits looked up, tears fading after a while. “I'm Breeze.. and she's Willow.” She mumbled, still shocked.
Crowwing smiled, looking at the two. “Breezekit.. and Willowkit..”

Our mother had died of a fox attack, and our father… we never knew him. My mother never brought up the topic of him, so we never asked. Though I'd like to think he was lost, or trying to find us.. I imagine something much more dark must of happened.

“Breezepaw, Breezepaw!” Her clanmates cheered. Her sister would of been here, were it not that she had been took by twolegs only a moon ago. She would eventually turn into a Kittypet, is what I was told, but… as of now, I didn't know if she was dead, or alive.
“Congratulations, Breezepaw!” She heard behind her, turning around to find herself facing a sleek, black apprentice. She felt embarrassed, not knowing his name.
“Oh, sorry! I'm Nightpaw!” He continued, a goofy grin on his face. He was.. cute.
“Thanks, Nightpaw! My mentor is taking me hunting soon, want to come?” She offered, giggling. She liked him.. she just hoped he liked her too.

My.. my sister was taken by twolegs only a moon later. And.. I've never seen her since. A month later, I had my apprentice ceremony, and that was the day I met who would eventually be my mate, and the love of my life. Nightpaw.. Lightclan, I remember how fun it would be, just cuddling, playing games, being carefree… I'm getting off topic, sorry.

“I am happy to announce our new medicine cat, Breezepaw!” Maplewind yowled, his voice ringing through the clearing.
Shock ran through her, eyes widening. She mumbled something incomprehensible, stepping forward, and touching noses with the medicine cat.
“Ey, you like Swiss Rolls?”
She smiled, heading down after a while, before coming face to face with a upset looking Nightpaw.
“Breezepaw.. I'm sorry.” he mumbled, looking sad.
She was confused, until realising one of the oaths a medicine cat would make.
Clan before blood.
...
..
.
That includes love.
She shook her head after a while, determined to make things right. “W-we can hide it!” She says, smiling wide, and licking him on the cheek.

Later would I realise that was one of the most challenging promises I would ever make. Being a medicine cat is what made me who I am, but then again, it was one of my greatest burdens. After a moon of sweat, and hard work, I was finally ready to meet other Medicine Cats at the Light Rock. My life changed once more here.
