The rising sun failed to reveal itself. Grey thick clouds consumed the sky above, giving the holiday spirits a not so joyous vibe. However, today way the day. Christmas Day was finally here.

You've been waiting 365 days to get your hands on the hottest talked about game, Skyrim. You had seen the trailer for it after browsing cat videos and conspiracy theories on YouTube. Since then, you just couldn't get it out of the back of your mind. You no longer had to worry about that now. You bought the game yourself.

I sat at my small wooden dining table across from the living room. I knowingly zone out while looking at my unfinished coffee with dull, tired eyes. My wonderful neighbours upstairs were clearly exited about the day. Their Christmas music seemed to be cranked to the max and blunt and obnoxious laughter and giggles worked like a hearing aid through the vents.

'At least someone is enjoying themselves.' I sigh meatily, slowly coming back to my train of thought. A small grin plastered it's self to my lips as I added not two, not three, but four scoops of sugar into the strong mix. Opening the fridge carelessly, I slide the jug of milk onto the cheaply made countertop and then proceeded to pour until my coffee now looked like some type of overly sweet dessert.

'Hey, might as well add some whipped cream while I'm at it.' I reach my arm in the fridge once again, spreading an obsessive amount onto the top of the mug. 'Perfect.' My hands clap once in delight. 'My creation of the day is truly beautiful.' I chuckle to myself.

My mind clicked. "What am I doing? I have Skyrim!" My E/C eyes gleamed with joy. 'Maybe this years Christmas will be a good one.' I pick up the mug and speed walk (More like Sprint) to my computer chair. I had left my computer on all night so I wouldn't have to wait for Skyrim to settle itself onto my storage.

The title screen and into song sent goosebumps all over my skin. My hair stood on end even when I clicked the icon. I deeply inhale and with a click of my sweaty finger, I had begun my story.

Something was odd, very odd. I didn't think the intro would be like this. My character had already created itself from what I could see. The name I had already picked out for so many months had already been titled. No matter how hard I tried to go into first person, it remind on third. My character was freakishly close to what I looked like myself; hair, eyes, tone of colour, everything. "What in the hell.." My eyebrows forward and a stern frown took over my second ago smiling grin. There was no wild life, even the trees seemed to lack an immersive affect. I checked to see if the volume was turned on. What I heard was strange to say the least.

Sweet mother, sweet mother,
send your child unto me.
For the sins of the unworthy must be baptized in blood in fear.

It just kept repeating those lines over, and over again in a child's voice. My heart sunk every second I stared and listened at my screen. I aggressively shove my headphones off in confusion and fear. Not a minute after, a loud thud came from the hall, most likely from my my bedroom.

I spun my head around to the hall. My apartment was still dark, it being 6:00 in the morning and having no blinds or curtains opened. In the corner of my eye, I saw my screen flicker to red. The most ear piercing screeched farted out of my headphones. I could no longer hear people upstairs, just silence. I was definitely on high alert now.

Standing up shakily, I turn off my Monitor and squint down the dark hall. "Who's there?!" No reply. I didn't have anything to use as a weapon. My legs and fist became my only protection. "I have a g-gun!" I shudder. Intimidation has never been my thing. I continue to stare sharply at the door. I was going in there one way or another.
