It Can't be

Once Vinny and Josh got to the scene of the incident they were more horrified and shocked than they thought they would be. They all gathered around Rick's body and wept. They just lost a best friend all because of some act of love. They were all walking away when they heard a faint whisper.
"Is he gone?" I whispered.
    "Did you guys hear that or was it just me?" Vinny questioned.
"Down here." I said a little louder.
"RICKY YOU'RE ALIVE. Wait how are you alive if Jess shot you?"Ryan said excitedly.
I unbuttoned my shirt to reveal a bulletproof vest. "You guys are probably wondering how there was blood too. Well I put fake blood pockets in it. So when I got shot it would be believable. You guys are probably also wondering about Jess. Well I had Ash pick out a special dress that is basically like my vest. So if I had to shoot her she wouldn't actually get shot."
"Wow Rick, that was a smart move you played."Chris praised.
"I'm just really happy you thought about that. I don't think I could live without you."Jess said embracing me in a hug. 
"I'm glad I made that decision too." I said kissing Jess's forehead.
"Wait, what about boss? He is gonna kill you himself when he finds out that you didn't die." Josh said in fear.
"Not unless I kill him first."I said smirking.
"We'll help you out."Ryan said.
"Good, I'm gonna need to get into his office without anyone knowing." I explained.
    We spent the rest of the night making plans for the next day. We were gonna need a solid plan, so we can make this as smooth as possible. I mean I was gonna kill Jim for everything he did to Jess. He doesn't deserve to live.
