Fair Grounds~ JB

You knew Joey from your older brother, Taylor Holder. You would watch them make weird videos and laugh till you almost piss yourselves. You thought Joey was cute and exchanged numbers. As Joey and Taylor started to separate you stayed very close. And one day Joey decided to come down and visit.

There was a loud knock on Taylors and your door. You run over and open it to be greeted with open arms. You scream and jump into Joey's arms, exited as all hell to see him.

"You didn't tell me you were coming down!" You said in complete shock. "I know I wanted to surprise you, and by the looks of it, i did a pretty good job." Joey said holding your hands and pulling you back into a tight hug.

"Joey?" You hear Taylor say from behind you. " Ay, what's up my dude." Joey says letting go and walking over to Taylor. Joey and Taylor greet each other as you close the door and walk over to them.

"How long are you hear for?" Taylor asks walking to the kitchen. "Oh only for a few days." "Well then we might as well make the best of it." You say grabbing a water out of the fridge and plopping down on the couch.

"C'mon Joey tells us what you've been up to." "Oh....well not much I've kinda been chillin....." You, Joey, and Taylor talk for hours and laugh just like old times. Soon the sun goes down and Taylor has to leave.

"Where you going Tay?" You ask as he grabs his keys and heads for the door. "I'm going to get some food, want anything?" "Um no I'm good, you?" You look over at Joey. "Nah I'm good man."

Taylor walks out the door and leaves you and Joey alone. You sit there for awhile when you finally break the silence. "Hey you wanna go to the California carnival in Sacramento? I've never been there I've heard it's supposed to be fun."

Joey looks at you surprised " Uh sure...I guess I can work with that."
"What?" You say not quite hearing what he said. "Nothing let's go."

You arrive in Sacramento and get bombarded by lights and sounds. Joey puts his arm around you as you guys walk in.

You've always loved fairs and carnivals, loved everything about them, the lights, the rides, the deep fried over priced food. It was so great.

You run around pulling Joey like a little kid would pull there mom. He smiles at the excitement in your eyes. "What?" You ask since you caught him staring. "Youre just so...cute."He says looking down and blushing.

"Awe thanks Jo-ooo look at that!" You run over to this giant, fluffy, purple gorilla. Lust filled your eyes as you stared at the marvelous plushy. You wip your head around to face Joey, the biggest smile on your face.

"Ohhh I want it!!" Joey smiles and sighs as he pulls out his wallet. The man running the game gives Joey the you-poor-sucker look and takes the money in front of him.

"You have three times to shoot, you only have to make one to win small, two to win medium, three to win this guy." The man says pointing to the ginormus ape hanging above us.

Joey takes a deep breathe in....and out. He takes a ball and spins it in his hands for a couple seconds. He holds it up, aims....and misses. This vicious cycle continues for longer than you were willing to wait.

"Oh for fuck sake Joey, give me the ball." You say replacing his spot. You sink all three and the man snickers as he hands you your purple gorilla. You giggle at Joey' s face as you hug your newly won plushy.

"Oh shut up." He says giving you slight shove making you laugh even harder. Joey having wasting nearly all his money, only had money for one ride. You two chose the ferris wheel. Well it was more like he chose it and you were forced to go on it.

You hated the Ferris wheel...with a passion. They completely scared the shit out of you. You set your gorilla next to you. You're in the middle seat and Joey sits to the right of you.

The ride starts and you instantly lunge at Joey. You wrap your arms around him in fear as we takes you into a tight embrace.

"Hey um...Y/N, I've been meaning to talk to you about something." "Not the best time Joey." You say clenching your eyes shut. "Y/N, you...you are the best thing that's happened to me in a long time," You pop your head up from his chest looking at him.

"What?" You're confused by were this is coming from. "The moment I met you, I fell in love with you, your sparkling green eyes, your big goofy smile, and your obnoxiously adorable laugh."

Suddenly as you listen to his words everything vanishes. You're left with the replaying movie of you and joey's time together in your head. Everything comes to light, your thoughts, your feelings,....him.

How every time you're together your heart beats fast, and your mind goes blank. Your only thoughts are him.

"Shut up and kiss me." You say, everything finally clear to you now. "Wh-" You cut him off crashing your lips into his. Time slows and what was only a few seconds felt like a life time. A life time in paradise.

You pull away and say "I love you too."
