It was the sixteenth, Ethan and Grayson's birthday. My friends and I decided to surprise him. We printed pictures of our memories with them, and got a ton of confetti.

I got up extra early and got ready. I threw on a pair of sweats and a crop top that had an alien on it from Tumblr. I curled my hair and grabbed my stuff. I ran downstairs and made myself cereal. I didn't make a lunch, my friends and I planned to take Ethan and Grayson out for lunch. I looked in the living room to find my mom saying out the window in my dads rocking chair, as usual. She was there every morning.

"I'm staying at Ethan and Grayson's." I said as I ate my cereal. Nothing. Not even a nod.
I finished my cereal and grabbed the door nob. I turned and looked at her.

"I miss him too." I said. I waited a moment.
"Leave." She said, a single tear falling down her cheek.
"What?"
"LEAVE!" She yelled, flipping the coffee table and braking a mug. She stared into my eyes, tears flowing down her face. I opened the door and left. I turned, the last I saw of her was her holding her face in her hands, sobbing.

I couldn't stop thinking about mom and dad. She needed help. I can't imagine what dad would think if he was still here. My throat started to swell and tears welled in my eyes. I choked them back.

I parked my car in the school parking lot and tried to look casual and excited as I walked into school. I was twenty minutes early, so my friends and I would have a lot of time to sabotage their lockers.

I met them at the lockers.
"Hey guys." I smiled. They turned to look at me.
"Hey! Did you bring the pictures? I have the confetti." Taya asked as she pulled confetti out of her school bag.
"Yup!" I smiled. "I love these pictures! Do you think they're good?"
I showed her the thirty pictures I printed. "Omg, yes! They're so cute!" Dominique squealed. Samantha snatched the pictures and looked at them with Taya.
"When was this?" Samantha asked, pointing to the selfie I took with Ethan.

"That was the first time I went to their house. Gray had lacrosse practice, so Eth and I made a pillow fort." I laughed at the thought.

"Alright, we should start. We only have eighteen minutes." Taya said as she took out some tape.

We started to tape the pictures in their lockers. Next, we set up the confetti so that when they opened their lockers, they got showered in confetti.

"There they are!" I said. We hid from the twins as they came into the school.
We held our giggles as they reached for their locker handles.
Bang!
They jumped as they got full of confetti. We snuck up behind them.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" We yelled. They whipped around and smiled, showing off their perfect teeth. We gave them a huge bear hug, and told them we were going out for lunch at a restaurant just down the road.

I was so excited, it felt like a minute was an hour. I walked from class to class, dragging my backpack. I was so tired!
I could hardly pay attention in class. My mind kept wondering to my dad, the twins, my mom...

Rinnngggg!

I jerked out of my thoughts. I had just finished math class. Next was lunch. I speed walked to Mr. Scuppies desk, gave him what was due, and marched out of the class. I was the first one at the lockers, the spot we agreed to meet at.

Soon, all my friends were there, and we started to drive to the new restaurant down the street.
