I walked down the subway to my brother, Marshal's house. I walked up the stairs and rang the bell.

He came out in a robe at 5 pm, it was rather odd.

'Were you doing it?' I asked him.
'Why else would I be in a robe Charl?' he smirked.
'At 5 pm? Aren't you supposed to be at work?'
'Yeah, I called in sick.'
'Come in Charl, don't wait out.' 'Oh, and keep the volume low, you don't wanna wake Erica up.'
'Yeah, I will.'

'So, what brings you here, li'l bro?' he asked, his eyes glowing with excitement.
'I need to show you this,' I got out the letters from my bagpack.

'I've kind of gotten this person in my life whom I communicate with through letters. I want you to read it. We really click.'

'Give me those letters,' I handed over those papers which changed my life forever.

He read with complete concetration, letting all the words sink inside himself, trying to understand Samantha.
'She seems really great. Ask her out.'

'What? No!' I screamed at him.

'Hey, come on. You'll get to know her more and it'll be good for the both of you. Maybe, love is blossoming,' my brother spoke like a grownup.
'When did you get so philosophical Mr. Big brother?'
'Neh, I just tried, basically ask her out. And you have to tell her about what's happened with us in the past 6 months. You have to open up.'

'Yeah, I will. Thanks Marshal. Enjoy the sex.' with that I walked down the subway and wrote a letter in the train.
"Dear Samantha,
I am in complete awe of you. After bearing so much, you still have your head held high up and you're still living with dignity. In front of your problems, mine seems like a small dot in this big mysterious world. After enduring so much, you still are such a strong person and that, is something very inspirational. In the past 6 months, my life has changed completely.
About 6 months back, as I was leaving from home, I heard someone's voice in the yard, a feminine voice. And, I heard my father's voice. Mom wasn't at home and I slammed the door shut and walked out and hid behind a pillar outside and saw what was happening. I saw my dad, and a younger girl, making out and they moved inside the house, making out. After what I saw, it took me time to comprehend and I was shocked. It couldn't be possible. My dad can't cheat on my mom. We've always been a happy family. The Watts are known for their charisma and the vibe that they give. My mom and dad were so in love, their lovestories looked like these complete movie scenes but love is what binded us into a close-knit family. I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to confront dad, he'd get angry and there would be a fight. I couldn't tell mom, she'd breakdown. My dad is the one man that my mom has devoted her love to and I love my mom. I can't see her break into pieces because of someone else's fault. It's not correct. I don't know what I should do. I can't see my mom and dad take a divorce or drift apart, it'll kill me more than anyone else. Help me, if you can. I need a solution to this problem, I can't go through it anymore. I just can't.
Love,
Charlie.''

With that, I waited for the train to come to a halt. Within a few minutes, it stopped and I walked out and went to the beach and kept the letter behind the boulder on the beach.
On my way back home, I thought about what Marshal said.

Should I ask her out?
