Chapter 1

The horrified parents watched their daughter coming closer and closer with an axe in her hand. They ran up the stairs, slowly backing away from their insane child. She paused at the stairs for a moment before going up.

In a small child-like voice she said, "Mamma, Dadda come play with me."

She looked so childlike and innocent that even her mother, a great actress, was fooled. She rushed towards her engulfing her in a hug. Dolly swung her axe and her mother's severed head went rolling down the stairs. She dropped her mother's lifeless body and licked the blood off her fingers. Her father stood at the top of the staircase petrified until she began to call out once more.

"Daddy, won't you play with me?"

He broke down into tears and started mumbling,

"It's my entire fault. Look what I've done to you."

Dolly paused for a moment and tilted her head.

"Well you are the only one who loved me so I guess I could spare you. Later dad."

She grinned at him and walked out of the house.

Under normal circumstances it would be dangerous at midnight, but in such a family friendly neighbourhood she wouldn't get caught.

Her father was relieved that she didn't kill him. He shut his hanging mouth and went straight to his room, forgetting about the body of his dead wife. Even though she seemed like a monster she was still his daughter, or could she? She seemed like a whole new different person.

Dorothy Drake had been an oppressed teen bullied at school and unloved by her mother. The only person who cared about her was her father but even he drifted away. She spent her days as a broken girl, crying herself to sleep each night. Her accident changed everything.

As she crossed the road one evening, a car knocked her down. The person who drove the car was long gone when she woke up. She found herself in the hospital and was told that good Samaritans brought her in.

Her parents were called and her mother, a very good actress, was very dramatic about the situation.

The doctors were very eager to fix her up, seeing the amount of money her mother was willing to pay.

At first she wasn't healing well but after a blood donation from a mysterious donor, she began to get better. The greedy doctors so eager to get their money forgot to do a brain scan on her so no one realized how much damage her brain had taken.

When they did, it was far too late. The accident had unlocked a different part of her, a predator. For one week she disappeared and no one thought much of it until she came back with a death list, an axe and a thirst for vengeance.

Dolly was bloodthirsty and some people were going to pay.

Thomas Edwards tried to pay attention to what his friends were saying. He was thinking about the girl he left for dead. After he had knocked her down he had driven away quickly without bothering to look at her.

He sent those thoughts to the back of his mind and focused on his friends.

"She will be fine," he mumbled to himself.

"Yo Tommy, whatcha thinking about?" asked one of his drunk friends.

He plastered a fake smile on his face, "Nothing, just some chick."

He gulped down his beer trying to drown away his worries. He left the party at 1:00am, driving home a bit drunk. The streets were dark and empty like the night he killed mystery girl. He tried to forget it and convince himself that he didn't kill her.

Aggravated, he repeatedly hit the steering wheel trying to let out some steam. The car swerved off the road heading for a huge signboard. He crashed into the signboard and fell unconscious

.A figure watched the accident occur and sighed. "Oh my, he's suffering and I haven't even started."

The figure walked to the car and dragged out the limp unconscious body of Thomas Edwards. The figure dumped him a few meters away from the car after leaving a note.

Dolly sat on the rooftop of a bungalow thinking. "Should give him a quick death or torture him to death?" she wondered out loud. An idea popped into her head and her eyes held a wicked gleam.

"Thomas Edwards, you are going to die. Soon, very soon," she said out loud with a smile before jumping off the roof.

Detective Bradley Stone stared at the crime scene before him. A headless woman lay on a staircase. The woman's husband said that he had come down to find her dead. The detective felt that there was something he wasn't being told.

He was right. Christopher Drake, father of Dorothy Drake had lied to him. He knew it was wrong but he could not bring himself to tell the story about his wife's death and expose his daughter. Lying to the officer was easy.

He seemed like a nice middle-aged man who was sad about his wife's death. Too bad, it wasn't true. To the late Mrs. Drake, he was just a pawn. To him, she was just a corpse he would be happy to never see again. He almost thanked Dolly for freeing him of such a burden and pitied her next victim.

Thomas Edwards woke up in unfamiliar surroundings.

"Where am I?" he asked.

His mother, a plump woman in her forties, shrieked and gave him a hug which nearly killed him.

"Mum, you're choking me," he managed to croak out before she finally let go.

He gasped for air and reminded himself to never let his mother hug him, ever. Ellen Edwards regained herself at last and answered her son's question.

"You're in the hospital. You had an accident, remember?"

Memories of the previous night flooded his mind.

"I remember," he snapped.

Remembering the girl he had left to die made him feel guilty.

"I'm sorry, mum. I didn't mean it. I've just been real stressed out lately," he apologized quickly.

He didn't want his extremely sensitive mother to burst into tears.

A doctor came to check on him and told him that he would have to stay for a few days in order to completely heal.

Dolly flipped through channels on the little box TV across her. She had been given a place to stay by Nicodemus, a nice old blind man she had been friends with before her change.

He lived in the middle of the forest and had no friends. No one would find her there. As she watched some shows she became restless. Her inner predator was ready to hunt and she couldn't hold it back any longer.

Time to hunt.

"Nico, I'm going out," she yelled.

"Isn't it a bit too late?" he asked in a soft voice.

She smiled, "You know us teens, always partying," she replied.

He knew she was lying but didn't ask any more questions. She set off to find a place she could go. A bar at the edge of town seemed very appealing so she made up her mind to go there.

She wore a black sleeveless dress. The upper part consisted of skin tight leather and the bottom, silk ruffles that ended at mid-thigh. Her dress matched the black knee-length boots which had the very high pencil-like heels she adored.

They made her legs look gorgeous and were perfect for stabbing. She had short black gloves and held a black clutch. Her hair was down and her lips covered with dark red lip gloss.

Stealing her mother's purse had been a great idea.
