A Shade Of Vampire (Book One)

Why

I was awoken by the sound of my phone ringing .

"Great way to wake up" I said sarastically as I rolled my eyes and picked up my phone. Looking at the caller id, I saw it was my oh so very sweet and loyal boyfriend (notice the sarcasm)

"Hey babe, what's up." I answered with a fake smile on my face.

"oh hey you answered pretty fast. I thought you were sleeping" Joey said. I rolled my eyes at that. "Really you only called me to see if I was sleeping" I sighed, clearly annoyed. I don't think he caught on, he was always a bit slow. Not that I'm judging.

"I mean yeah I wanted to see if you were awake because I was planning on taking you somewhere you know have some fun" he said. Oh you're finally not taking jessica on our special days. I thought to myself.

"what?" he asked "hmm what I didn't say anything but yeah sure ok bye" I said as I hung up the phone quickly and hoped out of bed and went shower.

After I finished I got out of the bathroom and checked what time it was. 11:30 am.

Did he seriously wake me up that early I thought. I'm gonna kill him.

I got dressed grabbed my phone and went downstairs to make me some breakfast.

"Hey mom" I said as I walked to the fridge.

As soon as I pulled out the bacon my 5 year old brother came into the kitchen yelling "BACON!!"
I swear this boy is a freaking bacon detector.

"Really James, you're obssesed with bacon" I said to him laughing lightly.

"of course I do. Who doesn't like bacon I mean unless you're a vegan then I guess it's ok but still bacon is my favorite" he replied. He is way to smart I hope he doesn't end up like Joey.

"Hey Bella you aren't doing anything today right?" my mother asked me as she pulled out the bread.

"Um yeah I was going somewhere with Joey later. Why?" I asked popping a grape into my mouth.

"ugh, I dislike him" Mom and James commented at the same time and I couldn't help but laugh.

"I know you've told me many times Mom. And James, this is the first time I'm hearing this from you. " I said to him and he looked at me as if I had 3 heads

"of course I don't like him. I see the way he treats you. He is a butt hole" he said and I started laughing.  one because he is a butt hole and two because I never knew James could be so passionate about not liking someone.

"James Evans! Watch your language" My mom demanded, making him frown. If you didn't know, my name is Bella Evans.

"sorry mommy" he apologized, placing a sloppy kiss on my moms cheek as she laughed and said it was ok

"ok Bella I want you to babysit James for me tonight because me and your father are going to a gathering with friends and are coming back tomorrow afternoon so I need you to stay with him" my mom explained.

"oh ok I will just tell Joey that I have to cancel " I told my mom grabbing my phone and texting Joey.

me: Hey um I have to baby sit my brother today till tomorrow afternoon so I have to raincheck on whatever we were gonna do. sorry :(

Joey: oh it's ok, we can just do it another day I was gonna change the dates anyway cuz turns out the place is closed off today but it's ok ttyl :)

me: ok peace brotha

Joey: ok lol peace

"ok he took that extremly well and now I can babysit my favorite boy" I said picking james up and kissing his cheek

"YAY " he said excitedly he always wants me to babysit he doesn't particularly like other females besides me and my mom and I'm happy with that. Don't need him getting in the game to early.

Me and my mom were having a conversation about the babysiting situation while James was in the living room watching spongebob when there was a knock on the door.

We weren't expecting any guests.
