As she unlocked the door I noticed her put the key onto a chain around her neck and tuck it back into place.

"Cali , where was that key before ?" I asked this questioning its very existents .

She didn't answer the question but instead entered the house. She looked to me as if I were to lead the way so I did. Navigating through the house to the stairs. I looked at her before starting up the stairs , tugging slightly on my hand she looked at me innocently .

"Cali , you honestly wont remember this room ok? No matter how hard you try. So just don't. And don't try to remember me." I said this as I reached for a knob only I could see into the room where I had stayed as I watched Cali grow up.

You could hear her breathing hitch as she walked in to the room behind me. It had gone untouched for 30 something years until now. Not a think had been moved

"This room..was it yours ? When you knew my parents ?" She asked this squeezing tighter on my hand.

" Yes. I lived here , with you and your parents. But as you grew up, they thought the bond posed a threat to your aging so they had me leave. It was the night before you 16th birthday to be exact." I answered her as i stepped away and sat down on the bed. She pulled the chair from the desk and sat it down in front of me. Sitting there looking at me , I could tell she wanted to remember . She wanted to know who I was to her. But I couldn't bring myself to tell her, that I was her match. And that it was only a glitch in the system. Pansexuals were accepted in our race , but no matter what the women had to reproduce .

" The bond you're talking about, do you think they were scared because I had just told them I was pansexual , and they didn't care but they looked worried. I just don't understand." She looked at me pleading silently to tell her the empty spots .

I lifted my hand and slowly brought it to her face as I did the night before her birthday. I moved a side a strand of her hair and cupped her chin in my hand. " There is so much I wish you could remember. So much I want to tell you , But I can't. Not now , not ev-" My words were interrupted as she leaned in and kissed me . Our lips moved feverishly against one another's as the longing surfaced.

I moved away and looked ashamedly at the ground. " It was a mistake bringing you in here. We need to go next door. Grab clothed and meet me down stairs. " I said this sternly trying to in force it .

"ok."She whispered this as she stood up , looking down at me.

Once she was out of the room , I took to it to find the duffle bag that i had hidden. Once I found it , I counted the money inside of it and gathered many journals and books and zipped it up. I just hope her parents don't drop by just yet.
