I have a list of excuses as to why this is late! Writers block, college finals, forgetfulness, the list could go on. But I have a new part for you all! Enjoy!

WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN!

Well, she found Kori.

"Umm, well you see..." Nendo started to stammer out.

"I don't want any crummy excuses from you either." Kori stated as she was still straddling Nendo.

"I found my brother!" Nendo blurted out. Kori seemed to freeze for a minute.

"You actually found him? Where is he? I thought you had said he was dead?" Kori climbed off Nendo and was rambling questions after question as she paced in a small circle. Nendo could not keep up with any of the questions, so she sat cross-legged in the middle of Kori's circle and waited for her to calm down. Eventually Kori stopped pacing, grabbed Nendo's arm and took off for the training grounds. After checking to make sure that no one was there, she turned to Nendo.

"Okay, spill."

Nendo sighed and started the story from the beginning. "Well I came to a small village and was attacked..." Kori sat and listened to the whole tale until she started grilling Nendo on any point that was not clear.

"So, they thought you were your brother?"

"Yes."

"And Itachi, a missing nin from the hidden leaf found you and thought you were your brother?"

"That's right."

"Then you woke up in the Akatsuki base?"

"Uhuh."

"And then you discovered that your brother is also a missing nin and a member of the Akatsuki?"

"Yeah."

"Well, what are you going to do about all this?"

"I haven't thought that far ahead. I certainly am not going to tell anyone where the Akatsuki base is. Since I don't want to lose my brother after I have just found him. But I also don't want to be considered a traitor to the village. What do you think I should do?" Nendo said ending with an exasperated sigh.

Kori sat for a while, hand on her chin as she pondered what her best friend should do in this situation. "I think... no that wouldn't work. Maybe! No, he wouldn't be able to do that. Hmm."

After about twenty minutes of Kori thinking and Nendo laying on her back watching the clouds pass overhead, Kori jumped to her feet. "I KNOW! You could defect from the village and become a missing nin and join the Akatsuki!"

Nendo looked up at Kori from where she was lying. "You think that will work?"

"Well it is either that or kill both yourself and your brother, since he can never leave the Akatsuki."

Nendo thought about the situation. She did like the members of the Akatsuki, she wanted to spend more time with her brother, and she felt like she was home in the hidden base. But at the same time, if she joined the Akatsuki she would not be able to come back to the hidden leaf, she could never see Kori again unless they planned for Kori to have a "solo mission" and they met up during that.

"Thank you, Kori." Nendo whispered as she slowly brought her leaf headband out of her side pouch. With it she also withdrew a kunai. Her fingers ghosted over the leaf symbol for a few seconds until her kunai came up and marred the surface of the headband. She then tied it around her neck and stood up. She sadly looked up at Kori and quickly had to turn away, for the sad look on Kori's face would have made her start to cry. Nendo quickly ran away from the Hidden Leaf village. She retraced her path back to the Akatsuki hideout to find her brother waiting for her. He did not seem surprised to find her headband around her neck, nor the slash through the leaf symbol. He just gave her a slightly sad smile and said:

"Welcome home Nendo."

If you all want more, I might write one or two more chapters, but otherwise this will be the end of this story. Thanks for reading!
