Mike's point of view.
We walked out of the venue to greet the fans and I instantly saw something I couldn't stand. There was a beautiful girl that couldn't have been older than 15 getting beaten by some asshole. The girl didn't try to defend herself and I realized this couldn't have been the first time it happened. I slapped Vic and Jaime lightly and pushed the fans out of the way to get to her. The guys were close behind me. I tackled the guy off of her and someone who I assume was one of her friends rushed to her. The girl was unconscious, if she wasn't dead. Tony and Jaime went and started beating the guy and I scooped up the girl in my arms. She looked so fragile, her skin was pale white and when I picked her up her ribs came into view. We went back to the bus and Jaime was trying to calm her friend down. I set the girl down on the couch, careful not to break her. She was too beautiful to be this weak. Her hair fell in her face and I gently moved it. She had so many bruises. I noticed that she was wearing about 3 belts, all of them with the band name on them. They were only for fashion, not really any major purpose, I thought. Her friend was in Jaime's arms crying as she explained who they were.
"I'm Laura. Th-That's Ash. The guy was her b-boyfriend Josh. He's been beating her for over 5 y-years. And I c-couldn't s-stop him." she said as she burst into tears again. That asshole had beaten her for 5 years?
"Why did she let him?" I asked quickly. Laura explained that Ash's parents were the town drunks and hit her every chance they got. Josh's beatings must have been easy for her to handle because, from what I understand, he went way easier on her than her parents did. Just then Tony and Vic walked through the door holding Ash's boyfriend.
"What the fuck? Why did you bring that fucking slut in here? Are you gonna finally let her die like she deserves?" Josh said to us. I was more than mad. Pissed off beyond reason was an understatement. I grabbed him by his shirt and lifted him off the ground to my eye level.
"No one deserves to die, not even you. And I don't care what she's done. No girl deserves to be treated that way, ever. You may think its funny to see someone bleed out, but I will laugh when that person is you. You sick fuck. No one deserves what you've done. You don't even deserve the pleasure of going to jail!" I said the last line as I threw him on the ground and began punching him repeatedly. Laura was behind me trying to get me to stop. I kept hitting him and when I was done, I looked up and saw the entire bus looking at me except Ash, who was still passed out. I looked down and realized my hands were covered in blood. Just then the paramedics came and took Josh. One paramedic came in and took Ash too. I got up and tried running after her. I had to know if she was okay. But Vic stopped me. Laura ran crying to the ambulance and Vic promised me that we would go see her after the show. I sighed and went to the stage. The entire performance I couldn't focus. I was missing notes and messing the band up in general. Vic just gave me understanding looks and told me I would see her soon. I don't know why I had a connection to that girl, I had never even heard her voice or even seen her eyes. But she was different. She was beautiful.
When the show was over, we went to the hospital. The doctors said Ash was going to be alright and that she was lucky we got to her in time. I almost fell to the floor when I was told she would be okay. She had to live. I don't know why, but she did.
