Into The Eyes of a Killer [COMPLETED]

Entry 5 (September 25, 2012)

    "Blaze, we need to talk."
    "What is it?"
    I walked to the mattress and sat on it. She followed and sat next to me. "Well, sometimes we aren't truthful with each other."
    "What do you mean?"
    "Just, uh, why did you tell me to call you Blaze?"
    Blaze took a deep breath in and blew it out, probably thinking about it harshly.
    "It is because of my parents. They were burned to death by two cold blooded killers."
    There was dead silence. "That's something. I am so sorry." I understood why she didn't want to talk about it at first. Just thinking about something is enough to hurt you all over again.
    "My real name is Elizabeth, if you wanted to know."
    "Elizabeth," I tried out and nodded. "That's a nice name, but I'm still calling you 'Blaze'. It suits you. My name's Jake."
    "I'm still calling you 'Thief'. It suits you too. Well, since we are doing questions, why did you run away from your family? Did you have enough of being told what to do?"
    I hesitated. Should I tell her? I don't have to. Will she make me leave? Will she laugh at me? I have never told anyone this before. But I bet she hasn't told anyone else about her story either.
    "I am an abused child."
    "Oh, so that's why when I found you, you were hurt. Your nose was bleeding and you had bruises all over? I just thought that you got into a fight with someone. I'm sorry you had to go through that."
    There was silence again. I broke it saying, "I just want to get back at all the wrongdoers in the world."
    "That's not going to resolve anything, though."
    "Yes it will," I said getting up. "I will finally get to see other people's pain. And watch them feel what I had to go through again and again and again. In fact..."
    I zipped up my jacket, put on my mask, black gloves, and boots and headed out the door.
    "Where are you going?" Blaze called out.
    "To finish some unwanted business," I yelled back to her and left.
