~Yuuri~

The incisive ringing of my alarm clock awoke me and signaled for me to get ready for school.

The whole routine went as usual except Minako offered me a ride to school, instead of me taking the bus which was strange, seeing as no one - except the bullies (which even them don't speak much)- had spoken to me in nearly half a year.

We got to the school about 10 minutes before the bell rang.
"What Lesson do you have first?" Moniko asked casually, as if the whole 'ignoring and neglecting' never happened.
I stayed silent and the whole situation became very awkward.
"Well? Are you just gonna stand there or are you going to answer my question?!" She got angry.
"<I'm sorry>" I signed and ran down the school halls as far away from Minako as possible.
I guess I never told her that I'm mute.
Not that she had spoken to me for almost a year to find out.
Suddenly, while I was daydreaming, I crashed into a tall lanky figure.
He had shiny, thin, silver hair that was flicked over, and covered his left eye.
"<Sorry!>" I signed and he looked confused.
"<I'm guessing you don't understand what I'm saying>" I lazily signed to myself.
"No, no, no! I understand what you're saying, but I don't understand why you were so worried.
"<I guess, it's just natural for me now.>" my lip quivered slightly, at the horrible events that make up my life.
"Hey, Victor! What are you doing with the fag?!" The group of my bullied marched up to us and I tried my best to scramble away, but one of them grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me back.
I chocked a little a fell back.
"What was you doing to the new kid?! Hey Fag?" The ringleader, JJ said.
"<nothing I swear!>" I signed, but it was no use.
"We can't understand you!!" Pichit punched me in the stomach.
"Please stop!" I heard someone yell.
I looked up with tears in my eyes.
Victor.
He was...standing up for me?
Why?
No one had done that before.
"What did you just say, new kid?" JJ asked, him never looking so angry in his life.
"Why are you hurting him?" Victor yells out with tears in his eyes.
"<Victor, please stop. You're only going to get hurt.>" I signed, my hands shaking slightly.
"No! I'm not going to leave you here! This isn't right!" Victor yelled, hugging me.
I saw so shocked. I couldn't move.
"Guys, let's just go and leave the faggots, it might be contagious. Well get him while he's alone."
"I'm so happy your okay." He mumbled into my neck.
"<Stop worrying, it's not the first time they've done it. Plus, this was only tiny compared to some of the things they've done.>"
"You shouldn't have to deal with it though." He said woefully
I stayed silent. What could I say? I had never known any different.
"<I have to go...>" I signed and walked away.
He could never get involved in my life.
I don't want to bother him with my problem.
