Gilinsky did end up sitting in Genesis' house for nearly an hour while she finished getting ready. The wait was worth it in his eyes; he hadn't seen anyone look a beautiful as she did in that moment.

His compliments were rarely spoken out loud. Gilinsky was the type of person to appreciate in silence. Yet, for some reason, he found it impossible to stop telling Genesis how nice she looked that night. He repeated himself over a dozen times starting when she walked out the bathroom to her getting out the car in front of his and Johnson's house.

"Jack, as much as I love the compliments, why do you keep repeating them to me?"

"Just making sure you don't forget how gorgeous you are."

Genesis smiled, giving Gilinsky a quick hug before the walked inside. He threw his keys onto the couch and yelled out to Johnson so he would know him and Genesis had arrived.

Swazz and Tez where outside with a girl Genesis didn't recognize. She was cute, Genesis couldn't lie, but she wanted to know the person before she would comment on the appearance.

Genesis lived by a quote from her favorite book "milk and honey." She could recite the entire poem, the chapter, and what page it was on in case anyone was to ever ask.

It was page 179 in The Healing chapter.

"i want to apologize to all the women
i have called pretty
before i've called them intelligent or brave
i am sorry i made it sound as though
something as simple as what you're born with
is the most you have to be proud of when your
spirit has crushed mountains
from now on i will say things like
you are resilient or you are extraordinary
not because i don't think you're pretty
but because you are so much more than that"
