Mya
Upon entering the kitchen, I saw a massive pot of liquid wax, large enough to dunk a human in.  I crouched and quietly walked across the kitchen. From the room next door, I heard Jacob speaking ".. Part of the art!" Art? I peeked around the corner, only to see humans, frozen in time and in wax. I gagged reflexively. Jacob's head whipped around. "Mya! How... Lovely.. Of you to join us! The more the merrier!" Ben looked behind me, panicked. I spun around in time to see a knife raised above my back. I slid away just in time, and grabbed the knife from Jack's hands. Ben ran over to me, and we ran to the opposite side of the room. I quietly cut the rope binding his wrists.  I looked around, but our only exit was blocked by the two kidnappers.

Ben
I did not want to be "part of the art", I wanted someone to rescue me. I wanted just one chance to tell Mya I loved her. Just then, we heard a gagging sound from the kitchen. Jacob turned around to see Mya. Mya came to rescue me, I thought happily. My happiness, however, turned to horror when I saw the dark shape looming over her. Mya, with cat-like reflexes, rolled out of the way and grabbed the knife as if came down. We ran to the other side, she cut off the rope, and together, we faced Jacob and Jack.
