Part 12

The next day Destiny woke up and yawned."Oh man,I had a late night" she said while sitting up in bed.A moment later, there was a knock at the door." Come in" She said with drowsiness in the voice and one of Silver's maids walked in. "Morning dear,I made you breakfast" She said cheerfully and placed the tray on the coffee table. "Thank you" Destiny said as she walked out the door. She reached over for the tray and placed it. It contained : Two slices of French toast topped with mixed berries and powdered sugar, drizzled with maple syrup and bowl of fruit in the side along with peppermint tea, after she finished; She showered and  changed into a brown knee length dress paired with matching colors sandals then walked out of her room. While walking down the hall she saw that louge room was empty so she decided to practice her dancing for the ball, so she pretended that her partner was there and she started dancing. She closed her eyes and hummed some music for her to dance to. It wasn't long before Ryan came and saw her. He smiled at her. "Hey, you need a partner?" Destiny's eyes shot opened and whipped around to see Ryan, she blushed in embrassment and nodded. He walked over to her, grabbed her hand and faced her. " Okay I'll put my left hand in your right, palm to palm and I'll put my right hand on your back then you place your forearm on my upper arm". She did what she was told. "Alright, now we'll try a move. This is called 'Box Step', you just move your feet and I'll guide you"She nodded After 10 mins, Destiny finally got the moves down. " Hey you did it, you're a really fast learner" He said complimenting her. " Thanks Ryan now I feel ready for tonight, I'll see you later" She said then ran off to prepare for the ball.

Later that night, Destiny was in her room applying the finishing touches to her makeup until someone knocked on her door and entered. She turned her head to see Shadow. "Hey Shadow." She smiled and closed the makeup  " Hey Destiny, um Prince Steel said that we have to leave now ". She hung her mouth agape " What now, but I'm not ready yet!".  "Well he says that we need to go  grab your stuff!" He said then ran out, she quickly got her jewelry, shoes and dress than ran behind him. When they got outside, Silver turned his head and saw Destiny not ready. "Destiny why aren't you ready yet?" Silver asked. "Your brother said that we had to leave early" . Silver,  fuming, walked his brother on the side to talk. " You didn't tell Destiny about the ball?". " I wasn't planning on telling her about ball, but instead of Tails giving the letter to me he gave it to you". " Why did you do this? What did she ever do to you? Silver asked but then shook his head. Maybe she still has some time to change. Des-". He got cut off by the horses arrival "Well too late now" He said and walked towards the carriage to open the door. " Ladies first" He said and received a glare from Destiny who climbed into the carriage. Everyone followed and they departed.
