The Girl with Pastel Hair *Completed*

Part 11

Back at his castle, Scourge sat in his library contemplating about Blade's offer. A little while later, Blade walked into the room with his tea and placed it on the table. " So Scourge, have you thought about my suggestion?" Blade asked and he nodded. "I have and my answer is yes" He said looking at him. " Great, so when will you send out your letter?". Nearby Scourge's younger brother and sister, Skylar and Scott were eveasdropping on their conversation. "Aw nice! We're having a ball Skylar!" the dark green colored hedgehog said to his older sister.Something seems to be bothering him, I can't place my finger on it.." She said while staring at her older brother. " Blade ,I need you to deliver this letter to Prince Silver" He said placing the letter into an envelope and handing it to him. He left right away. Scourge laid back in the armchair and noticed his brother and sister in the corner of his eye. " What are you two doing?!" He said yelling at his siblings who screamed and ran away.

Later at the castle in Adotria. Silver sat in his office chatting with Ryan, Amy and Shadow until there was a knock on the door. "Come in !" He said and Tails opened the door. " Prince Silver ,this letter came for you from Prince Scourge " He said walking to his desk  and placed it there. " Thank you Tails" Silver said and he bowed and left. He opened up the letter and began to read it silently.  " What does it say ?" Ryan asked. " He's inviting us to a ball at his castle and he wants Destiny to dance with him ?" Silver said confused. Amy crossed her arms, smirking . " You're not getting jealous are you? "W-Who me? Hah no. I don't get jealous." Ryan also crossed his arms. "Yeah right". Silver turned away from them. "So are we going?" Shadow asked "Yes" He replied. Shadow got up off the window sill to stretch his legs walking over the the desk, Shadow picked up the letter and read it for a while and stared at it."Something wrong Shadow?" Amy asked but he didn't respond and just walked out of the room. Silver, Ryan and Amy at each other in confusion. Meanwhile Destiny was in the treatment room wrapping a gauze around a guards arm. " Thanks Destiny,see you later" He said then left. A while later Shadow walked in and saw her leaving. "  Hey Destiny where are you going?". " Vanilla told me that she gave Tails and I a green room to take care of so I'm going to check it out right now, would you like to come?" She  asked. "Sure " He said and followed her, a few mintues later they arrived only to see Tails already  in there sitting next to two crates of herbs with a notebook and pen , recording information about them. "Hey Tails isn't this exciting! We get to take care of a green room!" She exclaimed. " I know, I excited as well" He said smiling. " Destiny I have something exciting to tell you" . "What is it Shadow?". He was about to speak when Tails cut him off. " Destiny can you see if the ginko berries are ready?". "Sure Tails" She said picked up two handkerchiefs, gave one to Shadow and tied it on her face covering her mouth and nose; he mimicked her actions. She got a basket and walked towards the tree. When they got there they kneeled on the ground and started to pick berries." So what's the exciting news?" She said looking at him with her brown eyes sparking in the sunset. His eyes widened and he gasped silently then he unconsciously,  pulled Destiny's cloth off her face and caught her off gaurd. "Shadow!" She said shocked. He looked at the cloth in his hand. "Uh...sorry, fast reflexes" He said scratching the back of his head  and blushed deeper. " It's okay, are you still gonna tell me this exciting news?." She said yanking the cloth out of his hand. He nodded. "Prince Scourge invited us to a ball and he wants you to dance with him". She stopped to look at him and smiled. " That's very nice of him, well it's getting late" She stood up and yawned , walking to the door. "Destiny, before you leave could you carry these herbs back to the lab" Tails said while examining a medicinal herb. "Sure Tails" She lifted the crates and left with Shadow behind her. "You need any help?" He asked as she shuffled them before they fell. " I could do it Shadow thanks" When they got outside Shadow saw that the sun had almost sank into the horizon and closed the door. Destiny began to walk then there was a whistle behind her; when she turned around she saw that  he was gone. She blinked and continued to walk, struggling to carry the crates. He watch her from the top of the castle wall and saw that she began to look little pale; then suddenly she fainted but he dashed over to her and caught her in time. He looked at her with her eyes closed and lifted her as well as the boxes.

When they got to the lab, he placed the boxes down then picked Destiny up bridal style and went to her room. When he got there he placed her in bed and removed a  few strands of hair from her face. He walked out of her room,taking one last glance at her. "Sweet dreams Destiny" He said and closed the door.
