Two weeks later Fifth Harmony's album was finally released and they had decided on a name, well Normani and Lauren came up with it.
7/27
It just felt right to them. This was the date they were each brought together to pursue a dream. And since they all had no idea where their future would lead them after this album, they decided to name it 7/27. No matter where they go, what they do, this will always hold a special place in each of their hearts.
The new music received a great reaction from the public, soon becoming number 1 on iTunes. The girls couldn't believe it, they were all so excited to go on tour, even though they had to wait a while as they had other obligations with promotion for a few weeks.
Camila's birthday came and went in a blink of an eye. She honestly seemed to enjoy the day. However the newly released album was quickly being overshadowed by her upcoming solo project with Shawn. The fans were going crazy, suddenly Camila's timeline was being flooded with hateful comments and racism, fans were suddenly dragging her over the internet. And the song hadn't even been released yet.
"Camila? Where are you?" Dinah's voice echoed through the small hotel room.
"In here."
Dinah opened the bathroom door to see Camila sitting on the tiles, leaning against the bath, guitar in hand.
"What are you doing in here? Of all places?" Dinah lowered herself to Camila's level sitting down next to her.
"Just writing, this is one of the only places where I can think if I'm stuck." The smaller girl continued strumming on her guitar.
"Can I hear it?"
Camila hesitated for a brief second.
"You don't have to if you don't feel comfortable." Dinah placed a hand on the girls back.
"No it's okay, here goes nothing."
She began to pluck at the chords.'Am I asking all these questions for nothing?
I'm wondering if anyone's there
And I really need to make a confession
I hate to say that I'm a little bit scared, yeahThat I've been on this train too long
People getting off and on
Praying that I don't forget where I belong
And every time I ask myself
Am I turning into someone else?
I'm praying that I don't forget just who I amI really wanna understand
I just wanna understandI'm calling all my friends after midnight, yeah
To remind 'em that I'll always be there for them
It gets lonely when there's no one to talk to
But it's good to know that somebody caresCause I've been on this train too long
People getting off and on
I'm praying that I don't forget where I belong
And every time I ask myself
Am I turning into someone else?
I'm praying that I don't forget just who I amI really wanna understand
I just wanna understand, yeahOh yeah
Cause we all get lost sometimes, yeah
Yeah we all get lost sometimes
But don't leave your heart behind
Cause we all get lost sometimesI really wanna understand
I just gotta understand, yeah
No I just need to, I need to understand
I really wanna understand, oh who I amAnd every time I ask myself
Am I turning into someone else?
And I just pray to God that I'm still who I amI really wanna understand
I just gotta understand, yeah
No I just need to, I need to understand
I really wanna understand, oh who I amCamila placed the guitar on the tiled floor and leant back on her hands.
"That was beautiful Walz. Are you going to record that?" Dinah grinned at the girl.
She sighed, "No, well I'll record it, maybe post it on Instagram or YouTube but management said I can't release any solo songs unless it's like a feature with another artist." She frowned at the thought of herself not being able to play her own music and release it to her fans.
"Woah, when did they say that? I swear if they're treating you bad I'll-" Dinah clenched her fist.
"You'll what!? What are you going to do Dinah?" Camila grabbed her guitar and laptop standing up to walk back into the room.
"I'll give them a poly beat down!" Dinah follows her out.
Camila released a long gasp of breath almost tossing her laptop into her bed.
"There is nothing you can do! I'm screwed alright! They made me sign another contract! I can't release any music and I can't appear to be disconnected to the group. Otherwise they said I'm gone. They're pushing me out Dinah! I might as well just go quit now." Camila's face was going red, getting more angrier at the situation.
"Oh come on, no they're not! It's fifth harmony, not fourth harmony! There is no fifth harmony without Camila Cabello."
Camila threw her guitar across the room, splitting the wood connecting the strings to the rest of the guitar. She then went on a rampage sliding her arm across a nearby bench knocking perfume bottles and products to the floor. Seconds later her fist collided with the wall making a loud thud. She cried out in pain grasping her wrist before falling to the floor.
"Camila!" Dinah saw tears dripping from the smaller girls face, her cheeks glistening. She wrapped her arms around the girl pulling her head into her shoulder.
"It's okay, it will all be okay." She rubbed the girls back attempting to calm her.
"I'm alright." Camila pulled back rubbing the tears from her eyes.
"See now you've left wet marks on my shirt. God, now I'm gonna have to buy a new shirt." Dinah smirked gaining a small giggle from Camila.
"Looks like we're gonna have to buy you a new guitar though. Come on, let's go." Dinah pulled them both to their feet wrapping an arm around Camila.
"Thanks Dinah. For being here. You will never have any idea how much I love and appreciate you." The smaller girl placed a quick kiss on Dinah's cheek.
"Right back at you Walz."
