"How's the cast going?" I asked.
"I hate it," Jacklyn replied.
"My leg is itchy and I can't scratch it."
"That's one of the worst things about having a cast." I said.
"Can you do me a favour and pass me my note book?" Jacklyn asked.
"Sure." I got up and walked to her bunk and gave her note book and a pen.
The second I gave it to her, she started writing a whole bunch of words non-stop.
"You're a fast writer." I said.
"Thanks," She replied looked up.
"What are you writing?" I asked.
"Just some lyrics, you know."
"How do you come up with these?" I asked.
"I usually write things off experience I've had," She replied.
"So like Andy?" I asked.
"Yeah, pretty much."
"Like me what?" Andy asked walking to us.
"Jacklyn's writing more lyrics." I said.
"Cool, what do you have so far?" Andy asked, sitting beside her.
Jacklyn handed her note book to Andy and read,
"This wall of stone, that they built to cage our minds, Grip the call of changing times like no one's home."
"Holy shit, your surprisingly good at writing lyrics." Andy said handing her the note book back.
"Thanks." Jacklyn said, scribbling on the side of her paper.
After a few seconds, she began to write even more lyrics.
"They will burn down every bridge. Spread the wrld of ignorance, all blind to your eyes." Andy read while Jacklyn wrote.
"How long have you been writing lyrics for?" Andy asked.
"Since last year." She replied while scribbling more lyrics down.
"You write so fast for a 13 year old." Andy said.
"Is that bad?" Jacklyn asked looking at Andy.
"No, that's a good thing. You get work done faster." Andy said.
"This wall of stone, that they built to cage our minds. Grip the call of changing times like no ones home. They will burn down every bridge. Spread the world of ignorance, all blind to your eyes. Forget the innocent. Say a prayer, every night. All we hear, must be right. I am the outsider." Andy read out all together.
"Wait, I thought when you wrote, 'Say a prayer, every night. All we hear, must be right. I am the outsider' was in the beginning?" Andy asked.
"It was, but I changed hmy mind because it didn't make sense." Jacklyn replied.
"Can you help us write songs since you already write these lyrics down?" I asked.
"Yeah, sure." She said.
