Plagued Chaos

Chapter One

"Meridia!" I shouted in annoyance. "Give me back my straightner!"

She laughed, a cold, ruthless laugh. She was in the bathroom, getting her hair ready for a date with her boyfriend, Erick, when I heard a knock on the door. I groaned, banging on the door once again before checking it.

The door slid open and in walked a nicely dressed Erick. He smiled at me, waved and looked around. We had moved everything in the house so it looks a little different. The red love seat was pressed up against a corner, the matchinf couch right next to it. The coffee table was in the middle of both of them, giving the striped red and black carpet under it a bold popout. 

"Change much?" He laughed out. I laughed with him.

"Yeah."

Standing there like a couple of awkward people, which we were, for about five minutes, Meridia finally came down the stairs looking as beautiful as ever.

"I'm ready!" She chirped.

Erick nodded and laced his arm through hers, lacing their fingers together. Really? Just hold hands, Jesus!

"Sorry about my sister. She's..." Was all I heard until the door shut.

"Awkward? Annoying? Weird? All true!" I shouted after her.

I casually walked up the stairs and went straight to the bathroom. I had a date with Jake at seven. Looking at my watch, I gasped as I plugged in my charger. It was six forty-five.

I straightened my hair, put the cat eye effect eyeliner on, continued with mascara, and put a grey sparkly bow in my hair. I never liked how I looked, but today is like a dream... I look pretty.

I heard the doorbell ring so I sprinted down the stairs, tripping on the last step but catching myself. Well. The stairs are my bully now! Opening the door, I smiled. But it soon left after I realized who it was. It wasnt Jake. It was some random guy.

"May I-"

"Madam! It is coming! They are coming! Run!" He said, then ran down my driveway and did the same to my neighbors.

"Uhm..."

I shut the door.

I shut my eyes.

Leaned against the door.

And cried for my sister to come back.
