The next week passed by in the blur that is working at that studio. I wasn't asked to be a judge for another Team Edge video, which disappointed me. As weird of an experience it was, it was probably the most fun I've had in awhile.

In that time span, I've grown closer to the guys, especially Gunner. We even went out for coffee a few times. He's a really great friend to have. I met Matthias' wife Amanda, who instantly fell in love with me when she saw I was VioletStarlight on Youtube. Apparently, she watches my channel every time there's a video uploaded.

I had just arrived at the office, two cups of coffee in my hand; one for me and the other for Gunner. Today was my day to bring in the coffee, which I guess was our 'thing'.

Gunner was talking to J-Fred by the sink. Whatever it was, it must have been something they didn't want me to hear because as soon as they saw me, they stopped talking. I'm going to try and not put much thought into that.

I walked up to the two of them and proceeded to hand Gunner his cup of coffee. I in return got a grateful smile as he took the coffee.

"You are the best Violet." Gunner padded his way towards his office, leaving me alone with J-Fred.

"I feel offended, you don't bring me coffee."

"Aw, you poor thing." As I started walking towards my office, he had gotten my attention by whistling.

"What's up Joey?"

"When you have some free time later today, can we talk about something? There's something I want to ask you"

"What do you mean you want to ask me something?" It's official, I'm so confused on what he's talking about.

He smiled as if to put me at ease, which only worked slightly. To be honest, I surprised it put me at ease at all. "It's nothing to worry about, I just want to talk to you about doing some sort of challenge with me on my channel." Woo, that puts that worry out of my mind. I'm just glad he wasn't going to ask about my scars again. J-Fred seems to be the type of person who doesn't let a conversation drop until it's been fully talked about.

"Um sure, I should be able to talk after I record and edit my video for today."

"Perfect, I'll see you then." He gave me another smile before climbing the stairs to his office. Ok, that was weird. If he wanted to talk about a challenge for his channel, why not just talk to me about it now?

I didn't give it any more thought as I headed back towards my office, excited to record a video.

"Welcome back all my lovely little stars! I hope you all are shining as brightly as ever! I'm Violet and today is.. VLOG DAY!" I exclaimed, raising my hands up in the air.

"These are my favorite days to record. Hm, I wonder what gave that away.." With the way this vlog was going so far, I knew the kind of mood I was going to be in the rest of the day.

"As you guys currently see, I'm in my new office. Man, that's still really weird to say." I laughed to myself slightly. "Anyways, life here as been interesting, to say the least. My first day here I was actually glitter bombed by J-Fred. Shh, don't tell him but I'm still plotting my revenge against him." I cackled evilly which I'm pretty sure scared the shit out of anyone who heard me.

"Speaking of Team Edge, I was actually a judge for their Animal Noise challenge, so go check out their challenge because they're the bomb. You also get to see me savagely destroy them which is always pretty great."

"I have a few collab-challenges possibly lined up so stay tuned for those.."

"I don't know what else I could really update you so I'm going to have to end this vlog here guys, I'm sorry!! I love you all, and just remember, we only shine as brightly as we let ourselves."

Even though that vlog was incredibly short, it was still a blast to record. You know, there are people that hate their jobs, but that's not me. There's nothing else I'd rather do with my life.

I sipped my now warm coffee as I did the minimal edits that I always do. Music played softly in the background as I finished up what I needed to finish up. The quiet chatter of the other guys in the office also filled the empty space.

My phone went off, letting me know I had gotten a text. SOMEONE TEXTED ME?!?! This is unheard of! I unlocked my phone and saw that the text was from an unknown number.

I'm ready when you are to talk.

Just as I started to freak out on who this was, my phone went off again. I had gotten another text from the same number.

This is Joey, by the way, probably should have said that first

God damn it, he almost gave me a heart attack! I hate it when I get texts from unknown numbers. I've seen too many murder movies to know how those usually turn out.

Once I saved what I was working on, I began making the trek up the stairs. I'm not going to lie, this feels really weird. I hadn't even gotten up the stairs entirely before  J-Fred had spotted me and began ushering me towards his office.

"Where's the fire?" I laughed slightly as we finally got into his office.

"Go ahead, sit down." He nudged his head towards a white couch, which I did. I couldn't help widen my eyes slightly when he closed the door behind him. Ok, what the hell is going on here?

"Joey, what's going on?" I asked, my voice suddenly ten times weaker. Whatever this was, I wasn't liking it.

"I know those scars aren't from a cat Violet-"

"And how do you know that, huh?" I raised my voice slightly, causing Joey to raise his hands up in surrender.

"I looked through your channel, I know, ok? I know about your suicide attempt last year." Welp, now that the cat's out of the bag.

"And so because I didn't tell you what actually happened with them, you think you can delve into my life, then completely sideline me like this?"

"Look, I'm sorry Violet, I really am." He moved to sit down on the couch, but on the end. "You have to look at this from my perspective, though. I see this new girl with scars on her wrist, and I had to make sure she was ok. Ask anybody in this office, they'll tell you that I did this out of the kindness of my heart and not to be some malicious person."

"I'm not going to ask for any details, it's none of my business. I just want you to know that the guys are always going to be here for you, including me." We sat there for the next few minutes in complete silence. The two of us looked at everything but each other. Well, that didn't go where I expected to, but honestly, I think I'm ok with it.

If I were in his shoes, I would have done the same thing. I can't be mad at him for something I would have done. Besides, I can tell that Joey truly meant well about the whole thing.

"I appreciate it, you caring and all. You don't have to worry about it, it's in the past now." A sigh of relief came from J-Fred's direction.

"Good. So we're all good then Violet?"

"We're good, except you might want to watch your back." I got up off the couch and opened the door to leave. Glancing back towards him, I saw the smirk come up on his face that I've seen a lot of in the past week.

"What's that suppose to mean?"

"I'm still planning my revenge, remember?" With that, I headed out of his office and back down the stairs.
