It's been 4 days since the incident the other night at the Café. Tomorrow was my date with Conner to the Festival. I still didn't know what to wear so I decided it was time to go shopping. I needed to look good for tomorrow night. It's the first time that I've ever gone somewhere with him, so I was nervous. I didn't want to say the wrong thing. I didn't want to look bad either. Conner always looked nice and I on the other hand just threw on random things.

I didn't want to go the mall alone, so I wanted my mom to come with me. We haven't seen each other in a few weeks so I thought this would be a good time to see her. I scrolled through my contacts until I saw my moms name which by the was Is Maria. I dialed her name and it rung 3 times until she  picked up.

"Hey sweetheart! It's been awhile since I heard from you. How is everything? I could tell she was excited.

"Hi mom" I chuckled in to the receiver. "I'm sorry, I've been really busy, everything's fine, really." I lied I haven't been busy. I just didn't want to do anything. My mom's a big people person. She likes to go out and do things.

"That's good, listen I have to go your fathers been sick and he's in the bathroom right now. Things aren't sounding good. Can I call you back later?"

"Uhh yeah that's fine. I hope he feels better"

"Ok well I'll talk to you later. I love you, bye" Before I could say "I love you to" back she hung up. Great now I have to go shopping, alone which I did not like. The mall is always crowded. I can't stand being in a big place with so many people rushing around, children crying, people shouting. It's gives me a headache.

I ran to the bathroom and started the shower. I stepped in and dipped my head under the hot water. I like showers, it gives me a time to relax, and think. I shampooed and conditioned my medium length Blue hair and washed my body. I have always been comfortable with my body. I wasn't skinny or big either. I guess you could say I was average. I stood there for another 10 minutes letting the water run down my body.

When I stepped out the air was foggy and the mirror was steamed up. I like to draw on the mirror when it's like that. I drew a big smiley face with a tongue sticking out. Before I got dressed I washed my face and brushed my teeth. With my towel still around me I quickly walked to my bedroom and shut the door. I hate getting out of the shower. It's always cold and breezy. I put on a pair of blue shorts with a light brown shirt. I put on a loose black cover so I wasn't cold. I put on a thin layer of mascara and a light shade of pink lip gloss.

It was nice outside. The sun was out from hiding behind the clouds. Before I got to my car I heard the ice cream truck. I may be 20 years old, but no one is to old for ice cream trucks. I walked up to the truck and smelt smoke. I very thick smell of it. When I got closer I saw a man who looked at least 60 years old. He had a beard with a small  mustache. He was wearing a white beater with brown and yellow stains on it. I was scare,d he looked suspicious.

"Hello young lady what can I get you?" He asked. His teeth were yellow. Ew

"U-um I'll have the bubble g-gum ice c-cream ple-please." he handed me what I wanted and I paid him. When I turned around to get to my car I heard a loud slam. I started walking faster until I was able to get to my car and get it. I shoved the keys into the ignition and looked in the side view mirror.

Oh my god! He was right there. The guy from the truck. I pressed my foot on the gas and backed out as fast as I could. I could see him running back from the truck and drive after me. Nothing lie this ahs every happened to me. I didn't know if I should call the cops or keep going until I reached the mall where there were more people at. If I called the cops this man could get arrested. Who knows what else he has done. I could also not make it on time to buy myself an outfit for tomorrow. Which I really needed.

I decided against it. I know that was the wrong choice, but I was in a hurry to get to the store, buy a descent outfit, and make it home before 5 o'clock.  I looked in the mirror for the thousandth time, luckily he wasn't there. Ice cream trucks don't move that fast so I was safe, for now.

I pulled up into the huge parking lot that was jam packed with cars. It took me about 15 minutes just to find a parking space. When I found one I hopped out, and locked the doors. I wasn't prepared to go in alone,  but I knew I  had to. I dragged myself into a small shop that had less people inside. As soon as I walked in I spotted a white dress that faded into a cream color at the bottom. To go over it was a denim vest. It was perfect, but I still wanted to look around to make sure it was what I really wanted. I found a cute top but they didn't have it in my size. After 30 minutes of looking around I still hadn't found anything that I liked besides the dress. I walked around the store until I found it. I grabbed it off the rack and brought it up to the counter. When I reached the lady behind hind the counter she told me the price was $35.00.

I was so relieved when I got home. It was already 5 o'clock so I still had time to decide what I wanted for dinner. I put my bags in my room. And sat at the end of the bed with my phone. I opened up twitter and scrolled down my timeline. Nothing new, I had two interactions but someone had retweeted my retweet. I hate when people do that. It annoys me so much. I then opened up snapchat and I only had one  from my cousin. It was of her and her fiancé.

My phone buzzed when I exited out of snapchat. The screen showed the name Louis. I've known Louis since the 8th grade. He was such a nice person. He always cheered me up with his jokes. He never failed to make  me laugh. He was a very outgoing, carefree, and trustworthy. I've told him more than I've told Conner. I checked the text.

"You don't mind if me and El come over. Do you?' ~Lou. Him and his girlfriend Eleanor visit me a lot. I had nothing to do, I was bored. So why not? I responded with a quick " Come on over."

The door bell rang and I opened it to come face to face with Louis and Eleanor. I stepped to the side so they could come in. "Why didn't you tell me?" Eleanor was the first to speak.

"About?" I was confused. Was there something I should have told her?

She sighed softly "About your date with Conner of course!"  I looked to Louis, but he had left so we could have a "Girl Talk" "El, it's not a date. We're just going to the lake for the festival. It's just a small get together. Me and him." right it was wasn't a date, was it? He never said it was, so I just assumed it wasn't

"Small get together? Really Diana, oh my goodness. You have so much to learn"

"Learn?, what do you mean I have to much to learn?"

She laughed softly " You have a lot to learn about dating. When's the last time you ever dated" she crossed her arms over her chest while raising an eyebrow.

"That is non of your business.  I can- I was interrupted when Louis walked into the room. "Sorry I couldn't stay in there forever. Plus I'm starving." I walked behind Eleanor and hugged her from behind while nuzzling his head  in her shoulder. I watched them in awe, thinking what it would be like to have someone love me like Louis loved El. If only some body would give all of their attention to me, if only I was loved the way I wanted to be. Now I just sound desperate.

"Who wants to watch Anchorman?" Louis asked. Me and Eleanor both shook our heads and took a seat on the couch as Louis popped in the movie. Anchorman was my favorite movie of all time. I've watched it at least over 50 times. I love comedy movies. Louis and Eleanor were cuddling on one side of the couch while I was on the other side with my legs tucked under me.

Halfway through the movie there was a know on the door. How could be here this late? My thoughts were answered when Louis spoke. "It's probably the Pizza man, I ordered pizza when I went to the kitchen to grab us drinks. I nodded and made my way to the door when Louis gave me the money.

My heart stopped when I opened the door. The face I had just saw earlier this week, was right in front of me. I was face to face with my biggest nightmare. I was feeling dizzy and I couldn't see right. My surroundings were getting closing in on me. It was hard for me to breathe. Soon everything became a blur. The last thing I remembered was El screaming my name.
