A Harleywing Story: Broken Souls

It's been two months since dick left gotham and in those two months dick has gotten his own apartment and works day shifts as police officer and night shifts as a vigilante.

Dick orginally wanted to stop being a vigilante and just be a cop. But he couldn't walked down the street at night and see crimes happen and not do anything about so he created a new suit,tools,gadgets and a new name: Nightwing.

Also in those two months bruce and Barbara tried to contact him many times. Dick only talks to bruce and that's just to hear updates on any crime that's heading to or from bludhaven and gotham.

Dick stills feels heartbroken from the whole Barbara/bruce mess but he dives into his work to stop thinking about it.

Dick is lying on his couch staring at the ceiling while the tv plays some show about history or something.

Dick is almost asleep with the all familiar beeping on the tv that indicates there  is breaking news.

Dick sits up and looks at the tv.
"The bludhaven city bank is being robbed at this moment by blackmask thugs and..." That's all dick needs to here before suits up and heads towards the bank.

Dick places himself on a rooftop across from the bank to survey the area. He knows that Batman is walking up behind him, he doesn't turn around while he says "what are you doing here bruce this is MY CITY".

"I have been tracking blackmask for a whole month, like it or not I'm helping.... this is tim". Batman says as he looks at the police surrounding the front of the bank.

Dick looks over at the new kid in the robin costume. "Where's jason?"

Batman doesn't say anything for awhile but he lowers his head in sadness. "I failed him....joker got him.....I wasn't fast enough."

Dick feels like he was just hit with a train, jason was training to become the next robin while dick was still robin.

Yes dick and Jason didn't see eye to eye all the time but they were brothers none the less.

"Let's focus on this." Tim says in a strong but respectful tone.

"Right yeah let's go" dick jumps from the roof and uses the grappling hook from one of his Escrima Sticks to get to the roof of the bank.

Two hours later after stopping the bank heist and stopping the black mask thugs.

"He wasn't here" batman growled as the took there spot back on the roof opposite the bank.

"Well just keep looking in gotham and I'll look here in bludhaven.... got to go.... nice meeting you tim." Dick says before walking towards the edge of the roof.

"Dick wait.... I'm having a charity ball at the manor next month.... do you think you could come." Bruce asks with a hint of desperation in his tone.

"Maybe" dick says as he jumps off the roof.

Bruce sighs and looks over at tim who is in deep thought about something.

"He will come." Tim says with a small smile.

"Hopefully" bruce says in a almost whisper volume.
