\\ Jessie's POV //

I quickly stuffed my things into my locker and closed it. I was in a rush to get out of the hellhole they called school. I practically ran to my car, successfully avoiding everybody. I cranked up the engine, only to be faced with a long line of hundreds of others students trying to get out of the school parking lot. I waited impatiently until I finally decided to force myself into the line. After receiving a few horns honking at me, I eventually got out on the main road and headed home. Thank God, I thought.

I pulled up to my house, parking at the end of the driveway. I made my way up to the front door and let myself in. "Mum? Dad?" I called. No answer, which I should've known was going to happen, because my parents are never home. They're either on business trips or long vacations. And, they never tell me when they're going away, they just go. I sighed and went on with my normal weekend routine. I went upstairs and changed into my sweatpants and baggy Nirvana tee. I ordered pizza and lounged out on the couch watching reruns of various shows until the pizza arrived. I payed and left a generous tip, only because I didn't care about the cash back, I just wanted the pizza. I finished half of the pizza and stuck the box in the fridge. I trudged upstairs and plopped on my bed, drifting off to sleep, despite my racing mind.
