Greedy Little Monsters

Maybe everything was meant to be broken.
Maybe everything was meant to end.
But maybe we should of gathered our losses,
Thrown out all of the thoughts we believed to be true.
We aren't heros with billions of fans giving us tokens.
We don't have people dying to be our friend.
All we have is corporal bosses, bosses who destroy our truths.
I'm not saying the world is evil.
I'm not saying that this is the final call.
I'm saying that we are destroying ourselves, and everyone we love.
We've sold our souls to the devil
We've lost self-respect, now all we do is crawl.
We're greedy little monsters with no self control
All we can do is ask for more, more, MORE!
But we've never stopped to consider,
Just how helpful we could be
For in our rush for glory and fame
We've become heartless and vain.
"Who cares about the needy and poor?
They won't ever be allowed through my door!"
It's words like that, that destroy my hope.
You see we've became the monsters we used to fear.
This is what we leave behind for the future generations to hear.
WE ARE greedy little monsters with no hope for redemption,
Only caring for our reputations.
Believing that everything revolves around ourselves,
Has caused this downfall,
Has created our own Hells.
