You know there's something I never did understand.
I never understood how someone could judge others so harshly.
Every saying contradicts the other
They say "Be yourself!"
Then turn around and say "Be everyone else!"
The moment someone does something out of a social norm
They get thrown to the curb without a dollar to their name.
That split second that you do anything that others may consider 'strange'
People assume you're some freak of nature.
I've seen it happen before
And trust me it can destroy a person.
That's what I don't understand.
We're different.
No ifs, ands, or buts about it.
That's what makes being human so great
We're unique,
We're different.
If we were all the same
We would be at each other's throats.
Being different is a blessing,
So stop trying to be someone else.
In a world full of followers
Be a leader.

Poems About Our Reality
PoetryThese are just poems that I've created myself about how our world is today. Sorry it's a bit angsty, so read at your own risk. I've been told that the first one at least is good so I hope y'all will like it too.
