Lily's P.O.V
That morning as I awoke I heard a light snoring beside me. Completely off guard I looked beside me. Gasping and clutching my chest I seen Derek beside me.
He was shirtless with all of his tattoos bare and fully noticeable. The one on the back of his neck was a tribal tattoo that looked like a tree with a star interwined inside the trunk. Derek suddenly turned on to his stomach facing me and I seen the one that had intrigued my interest.
It was a cross with four roses blooming out of the middle. It also had vines criss crossing each other wrapping itself to the cross. It was something I had never seen before but it somehow held my attention. I bit my lip because I wanted to lightly rub my fingers across it. I don't know why I wanted to do that but it seemed to want me to touch it.
Before I could even reach out to touch his arm I heard Derek say
"You like my tattoo or something?"
I let out a small squeal then whipped my head to the side to meet his eyes. I'm sure I was blushing. My face was probably a tomato red color. I couldn't believe I had gotten caught staring at him.
I took a pillow out from behind me and hit him with it then said
"Yeah sorry. I never seen many people with tattoos around here. Well actually I don't really pay attention that much so..."
Derek didn't say anything but when I looked back at him he was just staring at me. I suddenly felt self conscious, before I could say something he reached out and twirled a piece of my hair around his finger.
I only kept quiet and bit my lip. I felt like this was a moment of ours and I didn't want to mess it up.
"I really am sorry about yesterday. It won't happen again, I promise. If it does I give you permission to smack me, in the face." I heard him whisper.
I laughed and only shook my head. I never hit someone before and I wasn't about to start now. I felt the bed shift and looked up at him. Derek rubbed my cheek with his hand and softly smiled.
"Come on, let's go get breakfast. Orr, I could make you something." He said, smiling.
I smiled back then replied "How about you show me your cooking skills. I don't think I want a phone call saying the apartment burned down."
He chuckled but in two movements Derek had both of my arms pinned against my head and I was laying flat against my mattress. He smirked but kissed my forehead then climbed off me.
I blinked and finally let go of the air I had been holding inside of me. I had never been in that kind of situation before but I kind of liked it. I guess being with Derek made things difficult but fun at the same time. I slowly sat up in bed and put my fingers on where his lips touched my forehead. Is it sad to say I kind of missed that kind of contact from someone?
I got out of bed a few minutes later and got changed in to something more comfortable and headed in to the kitchen. As I opened the fridge door I noticed it was starting to look like a desert, almost nothing in there except a bottle of mustard, ketchup, and two packs of cheese.
"Oh I forgot to mention we'll have to do a grocery run soon." Derek said.
I looked over to the stove where he had a can of biscuits, eggs, milk and orange juice. I half smiled then pulled out a cup from the cupboard then poured me some orange juice.
When breakfast was done Derek even brought me a plate to the living room and sat it down beside me on the coffee table.
"Thanks." I blushed.
