Wally took a deep breath. Tonight he would be going out with Roy for the first time. He looked down at his new costume. It was basically the same as his original costume but the yellow was turned to a sky blue and the red was changed to yellow in memory of his previous costume. Instead of a red lightning bolt on his chest was a blue full moon behind a yellow sun. It felt so different and unusual to be going out on patrol not wearing his usual colors. He knew it was gonna take a lot of getting used to but he was determined to adapt.

He would make it work. He would become the hero he always dreamed of and unlike others he wouldn't be alone. No, he had two brothers ready to fight beside him at any given moment. He fingered the goggles in his hand still debating whether or not to put them on. A part of him wanted to in respect for his uncle but another part of him didn't want to because it would keep him in the past.

"Yo Wally, you ready?" Roy asked stepping into the doorway. Wally looked up at his brother in arms and sighed. "Ya, I just don't know if I wanna keep the goggles." He said honestly knowing Roy would see through any bullshit lie he came up with. Roy was caught at a loss for a moment. He knew that Wally and Barry had been close before they had ditched and that the goggles were given to him by his uncle.

"It's your choice. You can keep the goggles or you can leave them behind. No one is going to force you into a decision." Roy told his younger brother. Wally rubbed a hand through his hair and looked down at the goggles that held so many good memories. "I think I'll leave them." Wally said tossing them onto his bed after giving them one last look.

Roy walked over and placed a hand on Wally's shoulder. "You ready? It's almost go time." Roy asked with a small smile. Wally nodded with a smirk on his face. "You bet, I've been waiting two weeks; since you first went out for tonight." Wally replied to which Roy nodded. "Good, I'm going to get suited up. Richard said he had some gadgets for you in the base. So you'd better get down there before we have an angry leprechaun on our hands and no one wants that." Roy told him to which Wally chuckled.

"You're right that's worse then him on a sugar rush." Wally said before speeding past Roy. Roy smiled before going to get changed. Down in Oath's Base; Richard sat at his inventing table with a set of gadgets specifically for Wally along with one special one. Wally sped up to him with a smile. "Hey Dickie-bird, Roy said you got some gadgets for me?" Wally asked to which Richard nodded.

"Yep." Richard said jumping up from the chair he was previously sitting in. "Alright so what you got for me?" Wally asked with an eager smile on his face. Richard reached out and picked up a set of nunchucks. "First off are your custom designed nunchucks." He said handing the pair to Wally. Wally flipped through them easily. "By pressing the button on one the chain will extend for a farther reach. This can be used as a whip, grappling hook, or just to extend a hit. The moment you release the button however you better watch out; the recoil is killer on it." Richard explained to which Wally nodded.

"Wicked." He said pressing the button causing the chain to extend. "Next is your kinetic energy gloves." Richard continued as Wally put the nunchucks on his holster. Richard held out a pair of gloves that matched Wally's costumes and Wally supersped them on. "They absorb energy while you run and can release the stored energy at any time as a sort of super punch." He told him to which Wally nodded. "Sweet, not only does the Wallman have super speed but now he's got a super punch." Wally proclaimed pumping his arm into the air.

"Finally we got my personal favorite and the most interesting one: the maximum accelerator." Richard said holding up a small mechanical device with an arm band on it. Wally didn't waste any time putting it on before examining it closely. "So what does it do exactly?" Wally asked tapping it gently. "Careful!" Richard exclaimed jumping over the table and grabbing Wally's arm. "What why?" Wally asked suddenly alarmed.

"It's designed to remove all molecules in the space around you while your running; basically removing any variable that may slow you down." Richard explained to which Wally went wide eyed. "Seriously?" Wally asked to which Richard nodded. "Yep but it's got a killer recharge time so until I can built a better battery for it; you've basically got it once every night." Richard told him to which Wally nodded taking in the information.

Roy had just happened to walk in at that moment and smiled at his brothers. "So Kid Doofus, did our little leprechaun give you everything you need?" He asked to which Wally shook his head with a small smile on his face. "Can't call me Kid Doofus anymore Roy; or did you forget my new name already?" Wally asked teasingly. "Oh ya that's right; sorry Warp." Roy said descending down the stairs in his Red Arrow outfit.

"No prob, Red." Wally said pulling his cowl over his head. Roy mounted his motorcycle while Wally went and stood by idly. For his first night out; he had decided he wouldn't take his bike just so he could get back into the hang of things. Roy opened the hatch and reved his bike ready to take off. The two brothers were about to take off until the youngest's voice stopped them. "Wait!" Richard called out to which Wally turned to see the little bird standing before him holding something in his hands.

"Can't leave without these." He said holding the item out to Wally. Wally didn't know what to say about the object in Richard's hands. It was a pair of goggles similar to the ones he had used while Kid Flash only with some major differences. One was the fact that they were yellow instead of red. Two was the fact that the lenses looked thicker and more high-tech. "When did you?" Wally asked speechless for just a moment.

"I knew you'd be debating whether to wear your goggles or not so I whipped these babies up in my free time." Richard explained with a small smile on his face. "You don't have any free time." Wally pointed out to which Richard rubbed the back of his head rather awkwardly. "Alright so i may have missed out on a few nights of sleep making these but the point is Wally West needs his goggles." Richard explained to which Wally narrowed his eyes for a brief moment.

"Anything ending with vision these things have." Richard added nervously. "We're talking about your lack of sleep later but for now." Wally trailed off looking at the goggles longingly. "For now you'll shut up and put them on while going on your first patrol in nearly two months?" Richard offered to which Wally nodded grabbing the goggles and placing them on his head. He smiled at the familiar feeling before looking at his younger brother.

"Thanks Dick." Wally said ruffling the younger's hair. "Alright you ready Wally?" Roy asked from behind them. "You bet!" Wally said putting on the goggles. He dashed to Roy's side who smirked at Richard. "Remember we'll be talking about your sleeping habbits when we get home!" Roy called out as the duo dashed out leaving an exasperated Richard behind. "I swear, I skip a few nights of sleep to make Wally a pair of goggles and I get a lecture for it." Richard muttered with a small smile on his face despite the words he spoke.
