Friends Forever!

heyy! so this is my first ever poem! I wrote it in the 7th grade!

As small children, life was so simple! So beautiful! So easy! We cried when we used to fall down, we cried when we didn't get a toy, we cried when somebody scolded us! Yet we were innocent, happy and blissfully unaware of the world and its problems!

Among all these was a young girl's wish! A wish to have a friend forever! A simple wish... But difficult to fulfil! A simple wish... Indeed! But tell me, how many people actually have a friend forever? :(

I love this poem... My first ever poem! I wrote it when I was small! When I read it today, I feel suddenly the meaning has changed! The poem is way more relevant today than it was before!

I find the poem is kiddish sometimes... And sometimes way to simple! But i guess the simplicity of the poem makes me love it!

And the wish.... Still holds true! :)

All I require..... is a friend forever! :)

Friend forever

says the heart of a girl

as precious as pearl

so delicate so fragile

with a million dollar smile

eternal not her smile

may break in pieces and tiles

so better take care

there is no repair

to prevent it break

all it takes

is a true friend just

who never breaks her trust

a special friend forever

who leaves her side never

so all she requires

is a friend forever! :)
