How come no matter what we do never affects the future?

And when it's a terrible outcome, you switch the perspectives and say you're able to change the future without a blink.

Giving people false hope is terrible, but amazingly

It's still hope.

"Hey, are you even listening to me?" A voice speaks next to you. You look to the source and see Gladion. He seems to be irritated that you drifted off to space, but then again, since when did you ever listen to boring conversations?

"No, sorry." You try to laugh it off, but fail to do so. You and Gladion were walking around Royal Avenue, a place that withholds the title of having a building used for Battle Royale. It was designed for a new style of battling with various other Pokemon. Unfortunately, you left Mimikyu at the Aether Foundation due to Wicke's orders so you were left with Gladion to defend you. Before you could reach out toward the documents that held the Ultra Beast's data she had to pipe in she wouldn't give it to you until she sees that you and Gladion had a 'tight' bond. She believed that working on this case needs you and Gladion to trust each other and decrease the chance of 'betraying' each other. But you believed it was a different thing on her mind seeing her smile curve in Lab B.

"Do you have no power over what Wicke orders?" You ask suddenly, catching him off guard. He scoffs and look to the side. "And why should I tell you?" You blinked before mentally rolling your eyes at his attitude. "I don't know, maybe because we're partners for long term and because of Wicke's orders to make a friendship?" He sighed, knowing what you said was true. The sooner that you two know each other, the sooner they can grab the files to research the cause.

"Can't I answer another question?" He stuffs his hands in his pockets while you thought of something carefree to ask.

"How's your day?"

"Unoriginal."

"Can you think of any suggestions?" He takes a moment before appearing to be in deep thought. Any longer, and you would've been getting a little worried.

"How about there?" The Battle Royal Dome?" You blink as to the side of you and Gladion seemed to be an extravagant building. You read about it, but you never saw it with your own eyes. You both stroll inside and you notice how amazing the building was. Stairs spiral to reach the spectator floor where you can watch intense matches between four people. Trainers bustle inside the spectator room, wanting to get a seat for the next upcoming match. Suddenly, gasps echo throughout the room as one's footsteps trailed down the flight of steps. You look up to see a masked man, shirtless with a muscular build.

"It's the Masked Royal!" One yell out. Screams die down once he goes down and looks around the room. His hands on his hips confidently and his eyes moving around, observing the few people in the lobby. "I'm here today, yeah, to spread the word, oh yeah, about Battle Royal!" His voice booms in the room, making you wince at his loud tone. "They call me... The Masked Royal! Woo!"

"I'm here to teach everyone, oh yeah, about the battle format passed down in Alola for generations... The Pokemon Battle Royal. Woo!" His grin suddenly turns into a serious expression and his voice turns soft, chilling you at how fast he can have a mood change.
