December 24

Reader's POV

I held the end of my dress as I ran down the sidewalk. I began to pant heavily, the cold air burning my throat. I wanted to see Evan as soon as possible and tell him I forgive him. I want to tell him how much I love him.

I ran around his house and went into the back door. Evan had laid his face down on the island counter and moaned as if he was in pain. He didn't bother to look up, I'm assuming it was because he didn't know it was me. I walked up beside him and I wrapped my hands around his torso, feeling his warmth against my cold arms.

I felt him move as he looked to see who was embracing him. I then felt his arms wrap around me and he rested his head on my head.

"I was so scared you hated me," he worriedly mumbled.

"I understand now that it wasn't your fault," I gently whispered, enjoying his muscular arms around me.

"(Y/n)... I love you," he whispered and pulled me tighter into him. I raised my head up to look him in his chocolate brown eyes.

"I love you too Evan," I smiled at him and he smiled back. He raised his hand to my cheek and gently caressed it. He then wrapped his hand around the back of my neck and pulled me into a kiss. His arms moved down to my waist as we made out in his kitchen, the party still going on in the room next door.

We released after a few blissful seconds and stared into each other's eyes. We were both heavily breathing after spending so much time without air.

"I'm so glad you came back," he spoke as he wrapped his hands around my waist.

"I am too," I blushed. He held up his hand so I could take it, and I did. He led me to the living room, where we enjoyed the rest of the evening with our friends. The fire crackled as we socialized, heating the whole room.

When it came close to twelve o'clock in the morning, we watched the time tick away eagerly.

"What do you want for Christmas?" Craig asked Tyler.

"I just want money. What about you?" he replied, not too excited.

"I'm hoping for a new beanie. And also a girlfriend," he chuckled.

"It's almost midnight!" Brock said enthusiastically. I laughed at his excitement as he stared at the clock on the mantle over the fireplace.

"Hey (y/n), come here," Evan called for me as he stood in the kitchen doorway. I curiously walked to him as he stood there with a grin on his face.

"What is it?" You asked. He held one hand up while the other was behind his back.

"Twelve o'clock! It's Christmas!" David cheered. The others cheered as well and said Merry Christmas back and forth to each other.

Evan reached up and pulled mistletoe from behind his back and hooked it onto a screw in the doorframe. I giggled as he looked at me.

"So cliche," I laughed. He shrugged and wrapped his arms around my waist and pulled me into a kiss.
