*Ryder's POV- Two days later*
"Can we have the coat pulled up a bit? Yes, okay. Good." The photographer's camera clicks for what seems like the hundredth time today. Today I was doing a spring shoot. In the spring. Good job on the planning. Finally.
I haven't seen Harry since two days ago, when he just abruptly ran out my door. No texts, calls or anything. Then again, I'm okay with that. I don't really want to deal with the bipolar person that is Harry Styles more than I am required to.
The spring shoot's outfits are...not my favorite. They're all pant suits, with these ugly coats that go along with them. Not to mention the giant hand bag I have with me. I was posing on a set of stairs today, near an older looking house surrounded by trees. The scenery here is beautiful. This is definitely a great place to have a photoshoot. However, I think it would be better with some classier clothes, but oh well. I'm not here for my opinions, only my looks.
"Okay, break for lunch!" the photographer yells. I sigh a breath of releif, going to the small building the owner is letting us use for the shoot. I ran into the back room, changing into my normal clothes and shoes. I hung up the shoot clothes and ran out, only to run straight into another body.
"Oof!" I fell on the ground, my feet flying out from under me.
"Oi! Watch it!" The person snapped at me. It was obviously a male, with a low, slow British accent. I looked up at the person, stopping myself from rolling my eyes, but instead putting on another fake smile.
"Harry! What are you doing here?" I asked him. He looked down at me, his eyes widening slightly as he hurries to help me up.
"I'm sorry, love! I didn't see you there! I wanted to come surprise you for lunch!" he smiled widely at me. I forced a grin back, hopefully looking convincing, but probably failing. That's okay.
"Well, you definitely surprised me! Well, shall we go?" I asked him. He nodded, wrapping his arm around my waist and pulling me to his side, the fake smile still plastered on his face.
"I hope you don't mind that I walked. It's really close to the city, anyways," he said as we walked past the crew from the shoot, who were all staring at us. I just smiled politely, continuing to walk with Harry's arm around my waist.
"No, that's okay. I don't mind." I shrug. He nods his head. I lean up towards his ear, whispering harshly, "What are you doing here?" He just shakes his head, confusing me. I go back to walking before I feel his arm slide down from my waist, going lower. I try to not draw attention to it, not wanting anyone to see it. I gently slapped his hand, telling him to stop. He doesn't listen. Instead, he reaches into my back pocket, making me gasp. I turn to look at him before he shushes me, pulling his hand out of my pocket. I look at him, raising an eyebrow.
"You need to learn to answer your f**king phone," he mumbles, showing my lock screen covered by texts from him and Addie, telling me the two of us had a date today. I nod, taking my phone from his grasp. I closed all the messages, slipping it back in my pocket.
"Sorry, I was a bit busy doing my job." I quietly snapped back. We were away from all of the havoc that is the photo shoot and we were walking along the sidewalk to whatever restaurant we were going to.
"Sorry to inform you, babe, but dating me is now part of your job." He still had that sickly sweet smile on his face as he spoke his harsh words. I smiled back, but glared at him with my eyes.
"What a shame." I said. He just chuckled darkly.
-Middle of date-
Harry leaned across the table, gesturing for me to do the same.
"The press doesn't think were officially a couple yet. They just think we're seeing each other. I'm supposed to ask you to be my girlfriend today," he whispered. I sighed.
"Great. How are we supposed to do this?" I asked him. He shrugged.
"I don't know. I'll come up with something. You just need to act like you actually like me," he said. I sighed and nodded again, putting another smile on my face.
We finished eating and Harry paid the bill. He grabbed my hand and we started walking back towards the shoot. He leaned down towards my ear.
"I can see a black van up there. It's paparazzi. Just play along when we get close." I laugh and nod as if he said something funny. He smiled back as we continued walking.
We turned the corner, seeing the black van with paparazzi in the bushes, thinking we couldn't see them. This made me internally roll my eyes as they snapped pictures of us walking close, acting like we didn't hate each other. All of the sudden, Harry tugged on my hand. I turned to look at him, a questioning look on my face.
He knelt down on one knee in front of me, giving the paparazzi another impression. I just smiled a cliché smile at him.
"Ryder...we've been seeing each other for a few weeks now, and I've been meaning to ask you...would you, Ryder Tyler, be my girlfriend?" he asked loudly, catching more paps attention. They started snapping away, but I acted like I didn't see them.
"Yes! I would love to!" I squealed. Harry breathed out a sigh. Out of relief of me going along with it or that they actually bought it, I will never know. He stood up, wrapping me in a tight hug. He pulled back slight to kiss my forehead softly.
The paparazzi bought the act.
But at that moment...
I wish it hadn't been an act.
