New Experiences

•Eleven POV•
I hated staying home all day. I wanted to go to school with Mike. I asked Mrs. Wheeler if I could go to school to and she told me I could start tomorrow. So we went shopping and got all the things I needed for school. Mrs. Wheeler showed me what each thing was used for and how to use it. I loved having a mom.

Sometimes I'd think about when I was young and Papa would tell me stories and color with me, almost like a real father. But as my powers improved, that quickly changed and my stuffed lion was the only thing that reminded me of those times with Papa. When he wouldn't throw me into a cell or make me kill a cat.

It's sometimes weird to think I spent my whole life in a lab with that man.

•Mike POV•
After school, the guys came over to hang out with El and I. When we came through the basement door, she was sitting in front of the couch floating the space ship Dustin had tried to get her to float.

"I knew she could do it!" Dustin shouted as it dropped to the floor and we all laughed.

Even though El didn't laugh she still smiled. About an hour into the game El had gotten up to use the bathroom. When she came out she headed up the stairs and when I asked her where she was going she replied

"I need Nancy to help me with the...bleeding."

She obviously didn't like talking about it so I brushed it off and changed the topic, even though the guys were seriously confused.

"Bleeding?" Lucas stated curiously.

"Yea that's why she wasn't feeling good the other day, and why she's been acting weird...you know, girl stuff?"

They still had confused looks on their faces like they had never been to health class in their life.

"Oh my god guys have you seriously never been to health class?"

At that all their eyes got big and they replied "oh.." in unison.

Thank god I didn't have to explain anymore.

•Will POV•
When El returned downstairs she looked a little off. She immediately ran to the bathroom and when she did I felt a slimy slug making its way up my throat. I went to the bathroom door and said

"hey El? How long are you gonna be in there?"

At that she came out and gave me a look and she discretely wiped the slime from her lip.

She coughed up slugs too?

I should've expected it I mean I was only there for a week she was there for a whole year. I burst in the bathroom door and opened my mouth as I watched the slug move down the drain leaving a trail where it had been. I had stopped flashing to the upside down so that was good at least it was improving. My face looked a bit green but I left the bathroom hoping the guys wouldn't notice. I looked at El and noticed she looked green too, and Mike had noticed. When I came out Mike gave me a look and noticed I was a little green too.

"Are you two ok? You look sick."

Dustin and Lucas looked at the two of us at that point and we just looked at each other and started akwardly rambling,

"yea uh-"

"yes-"

"um everything is-"

"yea we're-"

"um- yea."

The boys just stared at us and suddenly I blurted out

"I'vebeencoughingupslugsfromtheupsidedownforthepastyearandnowelistoo"

they just stared at me trying to make sense of what I just said. That was a lot...

•Mike POV•
Slugs? I looked over to El and she widened her eyes at Will and then looked over to me. "Slugs?" Dustin started and we continued to stare at the two of them. "I don't have to tell you everything!" El screamed as she ran up the stairs. "Dang!" Lucas laughed along with Dustin. "Somebody's mad at her boyfriend!" Dustin, Lucas, and Will were dying of laughter when I cut them off by saying "She's just moody! Calm down it happens when.... girls have that happen to them." They understood and we continued the game until she returned and came straight over to me.

•Eleven POV•
I rushed immediately over to Mike when I realized I shouldn't have yelled at him. He was just worried. "I'm sorry." He stood up and hugged me. When he let go I hesitated before grabbing his arm and quickly kissing his cheek before he sat back down. His face turned bright red and it made me smile. The boys erupted with laughter and I couldn't help but laugh a little too. I had never really laughed before but it felt good to. "El you laughed!" Mike yelled and all the boys celebrated. I loved having such nice friends.

•Dustin POV•
Oh my god! She actually kissed him! Right in front of us! We couldn't help but laugh at how casual she was about it. Mike looked like a tomato after which made us laugh even harder. When we left Lucas, Will, and I were riding home and Will seemed a bit quiet. "Hey Will you ok?" I asked him. He just nodded and continued down the road. What the heck?

•Will POV•
I was worried. About El. I couldn't believe she was coughing up slugs. I thought about if she was going back to the upside down when she did. I hope she is ok, well she is a lot stronger than me.
