Rob's POV
I am so done. I am so done with Preston's temper and his slacking attitude.

This has been a routine for us: Preston scrolling through his phone while I do the chores, me screaming at Preston, fighting, more screaming, things breaking. This has gone on for months.

Today, however, something inside me snapped. Suddenly, I feel tired. I just wanted to have a peaceful life. I needed to be alone for a while. I dialed Jerome's number.

"Hello? Bacca here at your service," he mocked.

"Hey Jerome. Rob here," I mumbled as I drove to the airport.

"Oh, hi Rob. Is it because of Preston again?" He asked. I always told him my problems because I knew I could trust him.

"Yeah. But there's something more serious," I said.

"Oh. Okay," he listened as I rambled on about what happened.

"Listen, I can't live with Preston anymore, I need some time to be alone. I'm going to fly to Canada to meet you. Is that ok?" I requested after telling everything to him. Mitch's screaming was heard in the background. Jerome told me to stay on the call while he asks Mitch.

"Meetch! Is it okay for Robadobflob to stay with us for sometime?" He yelled. I had to pull my phone away from my ear in order to not go deaf. Mitch screamed a yes.

"There's the answer. Message me the plane number okay?" He said.

"Yeah sure. Thanks a lot, Jerome," I thanked him as I rolled my eyes. He's probably going to stalk me from my computer.

"No problemo," he hung up.

I sighed as the airport came into view. Why can't Preston and I have a life as simple as Merome's? I hauled the suitcase that contained everything that I needed: valuables, photographs, clothes, and random stuff. I patted my car. She's going to stay here for sometime.

I went to the counter to get a plane ticket to Canada as fast as possible. I can't bear the thought of having to stay in the same place as Preston anymore. It's suffocating me.

I messaged Jerome the ticket and the plane number I got. I bought myself a cup of coffee and sat in the cold bench.

Things were going smoothly when we first got married. We did YouTube together, did the chores, and split almost everything equally. However, as days passed, he started slacking. He posted only one video per day, pushing all the chores to me, and just sat there scrolling through his phone as I finished everything. I had to yell at him constantly. I thought things couldn't get any worse, but sadly, it did. Preston didn't even upload one video anymore, and his subs kept sliding down. We got paid lesser as lesser as I was the only one doing the videos. We fought a lot.

"The plane number CM172 for Canada is departing in one hour. Passengers please go to gate 8 for boarding. Thank you," the announcement was made. I looked around me as I felt the last of the country that I lived in for 5 years: mums trying to calm their babies, children getting candies from the store, men drinking their coffee as they scrolled through their phones while waiting for their planes. This is America.

I threw away the cup after I drained away the coffee. This was it.

Goodbye, America. Hello, Canada.
