Chapter 3

"Is this really your house, Hinata?"

"T-That's right..."

It's been a while since school ended. Sakura and Hinata agreed to do Kurenai Sensei's music project at Hinata's house. Upon reaching the gates, Sakura's jaw dropped. She did not expect the house to be this big. It was technically a mansion! The gates creakily swung open slowly, and the pinkette marveled at the sight.

Ivy and ferns grew through the crevices of the stone path, which led directly to the colossal structure. The mansion loomed proudly behind the creaky gates, flanked by rows of trees crowned in pink, swaying gently to the soft breeze. At the threshold stood a delicate white marble fountain, with water making a soothing pitter-patter sound.

"S-Sakura..?"

"Oh yes sorry Hinata. Is this really your house? You told me that your family just consisted of your father and sister." Sakura queried.

"Well Sakura, not only Lady Hinata's family lives here. Everyone who bears the Hyuga name lives here. So that consists of relatives, cousins, and my family too. Well, let's go in. I'm sure Mr Hiashi is waiting for us." Neji replied while walking deeper into the compound. The two girls quickly followed after him.

The trio walked through the large double doors and the pinkette found herself in the middle of a large room. It had two staircases at the front leading to a second floor, and entrances to other rooms on the ground floor. Waiting at the foot of the stairs was a middle aged man with long dark brown hair and the same featureless lavender eyes and a girl which looked like a smaller version of hinata, except for having dark brown hair than purple.

"Welcome back Neji and Hinata. Who may you be young lady?" His deep voice boomed.

"My name is Sakura Haruno. It's a pleasure to meet you sir." Sakura bowed in respect, earning a small smile from the man.

"I have been told that you are here to work on a school project, you and Hinata can work on it and the servants will call you down when dinner is ready. Hanabi, please lead them to the rooms."

"Yes father."

The little girl escorted the two girls up the stairs, presumably to Hinata's room. On the way there, Sakura realized that she was Hinata's little sister, Hanabi Hyuga. When the room was in sight, Hanabi gave a quick wave and left.

"Well, let's start shall we Hinata?"

"Okay."

Time check: 8.04pm

Sakura and Hinata had been busy doing the music project for the past four hours and it was time for Sakura to head home. Hinata volunteered to walk her down to the mansion's entrance, which she happily agreed. While walking, the lavenderette decided to spark a conversation.

"S-Sakura? C-Could I ask you s-something?" She started.

"What is it?"

"W-Well... I-I would like to k-know... why do y-you cover up your forehead with your bangs...? And also, why do you wear an oversized uniform..."

It had to be asked didn't it Hinata... Well you are my friend, right? I guess I could tell you. Sakura mentally asked herself.

"Well Hinata... In a previous school..."

"...and that's why I wear this" (y'all will find out later in the story)
