*Rythians POV*

We arrive to there area and look in the factory, nobody. We then look in the skyscraper, nothing. We turn for the sorting facility to be stopped by a shaking sips pointing a mining laser at us. “Put it down. Im here to talk.” He hesitates, but complies. “Would you go get Sjin? I’d rather not repeat myself more than I have to.” I say and he takes of into the power shed, bringing a Sjin with him. Who, as expected, aims his laser at us. “Like I said, just hear to talk.” I said holding my hands up to show I have no weapon. “Im sure you’ve heard of whats happening.” I say and they nod. “Well, im gueesing you don’t know everything.” They nod and I repeat the story. “So, im hear to try and make amends. Sips, ive never had a problem with you, but Sjin, I’m sorry.” I say to them. “If anyone should apologize, it should be me. Its all my fault that we were fighting. It was Duncan and I’s fight and we brought everybody else into it. You did nothing, im the one who stole youre dinosaur and threatened you. Im sorry Rythian.” He said sounding sincere. “All is forgiven. Zoey, Sips, can we speak alone for a moment?” I ask them and they leave, Sips agreing to show Zoey around. “Listen, I never thought id be saying this, but I need youre help.” I say to him once the other two are out of earshot, “Anything.” He replied simply.

“Martyn has agreed to take in zoey and show her the way of the forest. But as you may or may not know, Zoey has a thing for science. You are fairly good with science correct?” I ask, he nods, “So, im asking you to teach her. So she doesn’t try and teach herself, witch would end badly.” “Ok, I’ll talk to Martyn about timing and such, but yes. I’ll do it.” He said as I stood up. “Thank you.” I say extending my hand for him to shake, he does, I find Zoey and we go off to and talk to everybody else. Once we finished, we head back to Honeydew inc quickly. I figured since were gone a good 3 hours or more Lewis would be back, and I was curious to what had happened. “Zoey, why don’t you sit on the bench over there and wait for me?” he said pointing to a bench by the fountain, she noded and did as I said. I entered the big marble building to find Lewis tampering with one of the machines, I cleared my throat to get his attention, wich it did. “Rythian! I didn’t expect to see you again, weres Zoey?” He said, im pretty sure I scared him a bit, “She’s just outside, and I was wondering how it went with Duncan.” I said, my tone flat, as I wasn’t going to get my hopes up just because a spaceman talked to the scientist. “Well, there was a lot of yelling that’s for sure. But I managed to reson with him, kind of.” He said nervously, “Go on.” I said raising an eyebrow, “I convinced him to fix Tee and relese him, but that’s all.” My body relaxed slightly, but only slightly. “Youre serious?” I ask him in disbelief, he nods. “Thank you, you don’t rellize how much that means to me.” I said honestly, I left and got Zoey. I decided to tell her my plans for her as we went home.

“Zoey, I’ve made a few arrangments for you. You’ll be living with Martyn and Toby, and Martyn will teach you the way of the forest. Sjin has agreed to teach you some science so you don’t go and kill yourself trying to teach it to yourself. And Lewis actually achevied something while talking with Duncan.” Her face lit up with hope at the last sentence, “Don’t get to exited Zoey, I still have to leave you.” With that all the newfound hope in her face disappeared. “But, he got him to fix Tee, and let him go.” A small bit of hope returned to her face, “Really?” she asked, “Really.” I replied as we approached the base. “Okay, its getting late. But we still have some time before it gets dark. So, we should get you packed and ready.” The small smile on her face disappeared, then returned. She collected the animals, and everthing else she thought she needed, while I packed everything she would need. Along with a bag for Tee. Once we finished she layed down in her  bed and I read her to sleep. As soon as she did fall asleep I went over to my magic area and grabbed the book ive been working on most of my life. It contained every single magic spell, potion, formula, and crafting recipe I knew. I quickly wrote down  note and put it between the cover and first page. It read ‘Zoey, this book containes every single bit of magical knowledge I have. I will not be able to teach you anymore, so im trusting you to teach yourself. Please be carefull.’ And put it in her bag. I then went to bed myself. I woke up around 8, and relized for the first time what this really ment.

I wouldn’t have Zoey anymore. I don’t know if I can do that. And what will Duncan do with me? What if he changes me, makes me forget everything ive worked my whole life on remembering. Or worse, what if he makes me forget Zoey. I don’t know if its possible to forget her, her fiery red hair, her buitiful eyes, her obsession with mushrooms, how much I love her. Im brought back to reality when I hear zoey yawn. “Good morning Zoey.” I said avoiding eye contact. Instead of replying she sprinting towards me and tackled me in a hug, and began crying uncontrollably. “Rythian, don’t leave me.” She said, “Zoey, I have to. It’s the only way.” I say, holding back the tears threatening to spill. She buried her head into my chest and I put my arm around her. We stayed like that for a while. “Zoey, we have to get ready.” I say looking up at the sun’s position to determine the time. She sniffled, but nodded. We gather the things we packed and head off. We walked in silence until we approached the forest outside Duncan’s castle.

“We should hide the bags here just in case.” I said as I threw the bags in a tree. “I’ll mark it so you remember were they are.” I explained as I carved a pawprint in the tree. “Bring tee here and collect the bags. Then head to Martyn’s base, he’ll take it from there, and Zoey,” She looked up from the ground at the mention of her name. “Be carefull. And stay away from Duncan, please.” She noded and I began to move forward, but she stayed place. “Zoey, come on. We have to go.” I told her and she looked into my eyes,  “When I ran away to the brown mushroom base, do you remember the conversation we had over the computer?” She asked, and I nod. “What was it you were going to say, before we were disconnected?” she asked. “well, I was going to say I miss you. But it didn’t feel right. So I erased that and put I need you, but still wasn’t enough. So I deleted that, and put I love you.” We stood there frozen for a moment, then everything went in slow motion.
