"Anna we need to talk," said my mom
"What's up?" I asked watching her cringed at the way I used such slang, she was always so proper
"We need to talk about your father!" She said emotionless like usual
"Mom! We have already been over this, he left us you remarried had another child so I wouldn't be alone and then he left not being able to deal with the emotion levels going on here, what else is there to say?" I said
"Your 16," she said
"Yes and...?" I said
"I promised your father that when you turn 16, that I would tell you the truth and let you decide," she said mysteriously, ignoring my attitude
"Let me decide what exactly?'' I asked
"Where you belong," she said
"Oh umm... Ok," I said not trying to sound weirded out
"You need to let me explain, with an open mind and heart because I know deep down that if you do so, you will leave and become who you truly are," she said with such love I didn't even know who she was anymore and then she explained everything!
