"Kylie sweetie, its time to wake up! Its your first day of school!" My mom said enthusiastically while roughly shaking me awake. I got up immediately and got dressed in my white shirt with purple stripes and jeans as fast as I could (I don't want to get in trouble), and walked out of my cluttered room. Shaun was already finished eating his cereal, but still needed to brush is coal-black hair. I still don't see how we're related. With my platinum blonde hair and blue-green eyes, I'm the complete opposite of Shaun, who has dark hair and stormy grey eyes. Anyways, the bus was coming to pick us up in 5 minutes, so he better hurry up and brush his hair.

"You ready yet?" Shaun asked me as I finished my breakfast.

"I think the question is are you ready?" I replied. "Your hair is still a mess."

"I don't care, if you haven't noticed." He replied with a small smile. We ran out to the bus stop with 2 seconds to spare. As we got on, the bus driver said we had assigned seats, and turns out I'm sitting with a boy around my age with light brown hair and cobalt blue eyes. He looked a bit nervous, but before I could introduce myself, the bus driver started talking.

"So, here is a brief rundown of your new school. You'll be having a 'test' of sorts. they're going to have you do a project, and those who fail will be expelled...." I zoned out before he finished.

"Um, h-hi. My name is D-Dylan. W-what's yours?" The boy next to me said. Guess I was right about him being nervous.

"My name's Kylie, nice to meet you!" I said, smiling.

"Oh, nice to meet you too! Um, do you by any chance know anyone else here? I'm kinda on my own." Dylan said, and I instantly felt bad for him. He was all alone, at least I had Shaun.

"No, I don't know anyone but you and my brother, sorry." I couldn't think of a better way to reply than that.

"Oh, its fine!" Dylan said, brightening up as he spoke. "I at least know you!"

"Heh, yeah!" I said in return. I wasn't even at school yet and I already had a new friend! This school year is of to a great start!

When we finally got to school, our teacher explained that we would be researching the disappearances of two children. One of the children's names was Jessica Life and she disappeared at a place called Fredbears Family Diner(?) And the other, a boy named Oliver Afton, disappeared a bit more recently and was seen getting his head crushed by an animatronic, apparently for a movie scene, and never being seen again. This occurred at, coincidentally, the same place Jessica disappeared. Why they were making kids research the disappearances of other children, I have no idea. But we could work in groups so I walked over to Dylan.

"Hey, Kylie, I think I see some kids from my old school over there. Wanna see if we could work with them?" He asked shyly.

I looked over at the kids he was talking about. There were three of them, two girls and a boy. The boy had dark brown hair and eyes, with a black pair of 'nerd' glasses. One of the girls had long blonde hair that was dyed pink at the ends and blue eyes almost as bright as Dylan's. She was also wearing a white t-shirt with blue, green, and red flecks, and the words 'Lets Party' on it and pink shorts the same color as her hair. The other girl looked a bit more subtle. With her pale strawberry-blonde hair and gold eyes, she wouldn't attract much attention if she didn't have crutches.

"Sure!" I happily replied to Dylan. They seemed alright to me, and Dylan looked delighted. We walked over to see if they would work with us.

"Um, hi! I'm Dylan, I think we went to school together last year." Dylan started. The other boy turned and smiled.

"Yeah, I think we did, at least you look familiar. My name's Nate." He said. The girls noticed us about halfway through Nate's sentence.

"I'm Kylie." I said. The strawberry-blonde started to talk but the blonde cut her of.

"I'm Lucie, its nice to meet you!" She said with a slight British accent, ignoring the strawberry-blonde's death glare.

"And I'm Vivian," She said, still glaring at Lucie, with a French accent, "would you guys like to work with us?" She finished. At that moment I remembered Shaun would want to be in the same group as me, even if it meant being with a bunch of little kids.

"Yes, and I know another person all of us can work with, if that's okay with you guys." I said.

"Heh, lead the way Kylie!" Nate said. I looked around and located Shaun immediately. He was talking with two boys around his age, and a boy and a girl around my age. I started walking towards him, everyone else following. I had to slow down a bit for Vivian to keep up, but we got to Shaun fairly quickly. The tallest boy Shaun was talking to had brown hair and hazel eyes. The shortest boy, who looked about my age, had auburn hair and silver eyes. The girl was blonde with green eyes, and also looked about my age. The last boy had dark blonde hair and dark brown eyes. He also looked guilty about something, along with the tall boy, whatever it may be.

"Hey Shaun!" I said to get his attention. It worked, of course.

"Oh hey Kylie." He responded in a monotone voice. Then, turning to his friends, stated, once again in a monotone, "Guys this is my little sis, Kylie." Knowing I should do the same, I turned around to my friends and started introducing everyone.

"Guys, this is my brother Shaun. Shaun this is Nate, Lucie, Vivian, and Dylan." I said, smiling happily.

"Well these people are Adam," Shaun looked toward the tallest boy as he spoke, "Terence," he looked at the blonde boy, "Tony and Cherry." He said, looking at the last two kids.

I was about to say 'nice to meet you' to Shaun's friends but was interrupted.

"LILLY!!!!!!!" Dylan yelled, right in my ear. I turned around and saw he was looking at a girl who looked just like him. They were identical except for hair length.

"Wait, Dylan!?!?!" The girl, apparently called Lilly, said with a shocked expression that quickly turned to delight. "Oh my gosh I haven't seen you in years!" Lilly continued, then Nate asked the question we were all thinking.

"Uh, Dylan, who's she?" Nate said.

"My sister!" Dylan replied.

"You mean twin sister." Lilly told Dylan, who murmured 'same thing' under his breath.

"Okay, now this makes a bit more sense. Let me guess, your parents got divorced and you two were separated?" Vivian asked. Terence looked like he was about to say something to, but didn't.

"Yep!" Lilly and Dylan said, answering Vivian's question, at the same time. Then we all broke down laughing.

After we all stopped laughing, it was time to go home. I was a bit sad, I mean, I had to leave all my awesome new friends, and I didn't feel like answering all the questions that were sure to come once I got home. So, once I did get home, I immediately went to my room saying I was tired. I love my room, almost everything is my favorite color (blue), I have the best view from the house through my window, and all my stuffed animals and my laptop were in there to. But for now I just set out an outfit for tomorrow, a blue t-shirt and jeans, put on something to sleep in, and got in bed to start thinking over what had happened today.

Shaun's POV

Kylie was in bed. That left me with our parents. Kylie didn't know, but they had only wanted a girl, not me. Never me. What's more is that they are extremely abusive towards me when Kylie's not around.

"Hey boy get down here!" My dad called. Well, I'm screwed. Chances are he's drunk again and is going to beat me. Again.

"One second." I called back. I went into Kylie's room and put a present on her nightstand. I had gotten her a blue bunny plushie for her birthday. Afterwards I quickly went downstairs and started thinking about how much this would hurt.

A/N

So, hello again, Ghost here. I'm sorry for all mistakes in this chapter, it was the first 3 chapters in the original story and I was to lazy to edit them much. Anyways, I'll be back soon with chapters that are (hopefully) better.
